Hello Mastodon Science. My lab at Yale studies innate immune defense against respiratory viruses. Some of our recent work has focused on viral interference, a phenomenon in which one viral infection can temporarily protect from another. Really interesting article in @ScienceMagazine@twitter.com describing #RSV, #Influenza, #COVID, and other respiratory viruses competing, often interfering with one another.
