so the only value of CMake is that it works on windows? which would be negative value... like every system comes with it's own programming environment and package manager and stuff, and you're like "no, the objective reasons by which you chose your system are irrelevant, a language gotta have a unified build system that nullifies them, hurr durr"...

undefined behavior on line 75!

I should probably stop staring at this and do something useful instead...

nevermind, the right edge is on the inside too, it's just the bottom, so lets file this under off by one errors... I'm just too used to the two dimensions being consistent

ok so you need to outline a rectangle on square grid, you know yer pixels... logically you can choose to do it on the inside of the rectangle, to make sure you don't go out of bounds, or on the outside if you need the in-bound pixels untouched... however a very common choice is to go completely insane and do the top and left edges on the inside and bottom and right edges on the outside:

hello your mind on proprietary software

@iron_bug @yourhero and even if something was a million developer hours to do, it's still free software, you "may" modify doesn't mean you can do everything possible or impossible in your lifetime, it simply means that nobody is going out of their way to prevent you from modifying it, nothing more. Free software is not your dreamworld where everything is how you want it. Feel free to cry about it as much as you want, but don't pretend that it's a free software issue.

@iron_bug @yourhero yes indeed, million developer hours to replace gnome 3 in a distro, I believe you again

@iron_bug @yourhero yes we already established that you not being able to do something single handedly over a weekend is inaccessible violation of your freedoms... i mean just imagine a world where you are not god, gross...

@lucifargundam @zpartacoos you are clearly unaware of exploits galore that are modern systems, and when it comes to crashes I'm not talking about damaging hardware, I'm talking about your entire system going down cause you shot the NPC in the wrong knee. Just turn it on and off again and is all good, or maybe wipe your hard drive that will get you out of any mess, problem solved? Also yes I love ripping the wifi module out the device every time I want to single-play like the total loser that I am.

Disregarding the practical issues, your logic is backward. "Yeah I'm gonna give them the keys, but keep them at a gunpoint whenever they come in to make sure they don't do anything fishy, I do it with everyone who comes and goes, family, friends, you never know". A personal computer should not need to treat the software it is running as an potential threat, that's a side effect of proprietary software culture and totally bonkers if you think about it.

@iron_bug @yourhero proprietary but not closed source? what are you talking about? those 3 clueless rando's that forgot to put a license on their open source project or something?

and thank you very much for letting me know that gnome 3 and systemd are both proprietary, I believe you

@lucifargundam @zpartacoos a painting cannot crash and make you house piping explode, neither can a burglar enter through a painting. Proprietary game is more akin to said artist asking you for the keys to your house, you know, to make sure you put the painting in the right place and always look at it from the right angle as to not ruin the artistic vision... that's the reason, promise ^_^

@iron_bug @yourhero what are you even talking about? which GPL project is windows based on? And better example of open source to proprietary is apple's crap, which is only possible thanks to permissive beaindeadery like 3 clause BSD and llvm, which is the definition of open source in contrast to free software, but you seem to be completely out of touch in this regard.

@iron_bug @yourhero you may run it, you may study it, you may modify it, you may redistribute it as long as you don't violate other people's freedom to do the same, it's free software. Everything else is your own drama.

@zpartacoos hiding code is not acceptable, because it's running on my machine and I don't know what you are hiding... is it a game? or is it a slave collar? I can't tell...
