@mrcippy U know I have no interest in blue check marks ![]()
@mtomczak Yeah, that makes sense. I guess the question is how would they enforce it? Only option I can think of is the national banning of that domain, which looks horrible.
@mrcippy You better have put those stickers on some of your shit.
@mtomczak I guess I take for granted my privilege here of not having to worry that what I say is legal or not.
@herid If you have watched any "a day in the life as a _____ at Twitter" you might have a different view 😂
@mrcippy joinmastodon.com
@Doodlewhale My friend posted that as well. I posted the link fine on my account.
@herid What he said seems obvious to me. It's hard if you have a bias not to buy into all the doom and gloom on something you are hoping is doomed.
@durrivedfunktor Kind of. It doesn't propagate the same as it does on twitter. On Twitter (absent of setting changes) if you liking will propagate to your followers timeline, as well as RT. On Mastodon, favouriting will only propagate to the authors notifications, not to your timelines. Only boosting does that.
Where is the Artemis Orion spacecraft this morning?
It is currently at a distance of 296,000 km from Earth, ~213,000 km from the moon.
@freeDomForTooting Yeah, I haven't seen all that many that support markdown. It will become more prevalent I think as time goes on.
the few that do probably disagree with the rules of the server.
"An inclusive free speech instance.
All cultures and opinions welcome.
Explicit hate speech and harassment strictly forbidden.
We federate with all servers: we don't block any servers."
@gpowerf Just had a thought. While this is good for Mastodon, I never thought how it would financially affect instance admins. I bet those VPS costs are gonna jump significantly for some.
@freeDomForTooting Someone was just asking about that yesterday that I replied to. I never typically use it, but tested a few with him. <i><em><b><strong> worked. Only one that didn't I tried is <smaller>. I have never seen documentation other than saying qoto supports it. App render different because maybe it has more explicit importance?
@kjoo @Memeghnad actually, that's a good point, I have no idea if its still a thing. Haven't been on it in a decade or so. These journalists will adapt (if they even have to, which I don't think they will) in the easiest way possible though
@Memeghnad @kjoo you give them too much credit. They will just scour Instagram, tiktok and the shadowy depths of facebook
pronounced (Obi) oh-bye. I like logic.
