@futurebird The actual human YouTuber Kyle Hill made a video covering this phenomenon a while back, which was both informative and entertaining. I believe he's been trying to get his considerable following to report such videos (since they are inevitably full of copyright infringement), though I'm guessing that's a losing battle.
One funny thing he pointed out was that if it is a fake science or engineering video there is a significant probability that the thumbnail will include either Elon Musk or Michio Kaku.
Product teams that are smart are getting off the treadmill. Whatever framework you currently have, start investing in getting to know it deeply. Learn the tools until they are not an impediment to your progress. That's the only option. Replacing it with a shiny new tool is a trap.
@kenbot - anything that doesn't seem to make sense is that way for "historical reasons"
So the Pentagon ran a secret campaign to discredit the Chinese Covid vaccine being provided to the Philippines and other countries, when that was the only vaccine available to them.
This quote stuck with me:
“We weren’t looking at this from a public health perspective,” said a senior military officer involved in the program. “We were looking at how we could drag China through the mud.”

I feel the need to improve my professional networking. Like a sea squirt,I have attached myself to the rock where I intend to remain for life, but it is growing important for helping connect alumni with employers and the college with potential donors.

MASTODON, YOU ARE NEEDED
I'm the faculty advisor for our campus fire dancing club. We're doing a show for alumni weekend, and the students have chosen Y2K as the theme.
It'll be easy for them to choose songs from that time, as well as the obvious "1999", but are there any danceable songs *about the Y2K bug*?
If anyone knows, you would!
@tshirtman Yeah, that's probably the way to go next. Of course, I was lazily hoping someone would say, "Oh, I've run into that many times. Here's the fix..."
I have to deal with some other pressing issues first, but then I'll try to rig up a minimal example.
@tshirtman I'm not sure. I'm using the 3rd party TopDown engine, so there is a LOT of code I didn't write myself.
