Hmm so after #windowshoppingonamazon here are some cheaper brands that I feel are slept on:
Fila shoes (they're cheaper than Nikes, often running at around $50, but some designs look a lil like it has an upside down Nike swoosh so that's cool. and they ALWAYS look nice.)
Puma shoes (very similar to Nikes, but also have a slight Converse feel to 'em.)
Vans (everybody's thirsting after expensive Nikes or high end Converse shows but honestly Vans will never run out of style, they're basically cheap Converse shoes...with no soles...that said Amazon has some cheap converse shoes...)
Swatch (Ain't nobody talking about Swatches but they look epic, there are tons of unique designs to choose from, and all the bands and interchangeable so you can mix and match em.)
Amazon Essentials (You can honestly always find nice Amazon Essentials stuff. I haven't bought any of their clothing products yet but their hoodies, shirts, and pants look cool, and they're cheap.)
@design_RG Depends on the book, I suppose, and whether or not you're reading books online or on a Kindle.
@realcaseyrollins Seriously, USD$456 for a pair of sneakers? 😱
@design_RG LOL y'all already know I'm broke, best believe I'm not gonna shell that kinda money for shoes I can design edentically on the Nike site for $100...and I still wouldn't be able to afford it 😂
@design_RG That's cool. Big fan of Little Brother.
I will say though, I really dug Project Gutenberg as a kid. Is this site better?
ManyBooks.net has many nice FREE ebooks. Classic, public domain and newer CC licensed ones too.
Including a good selection of modern Sci-Fi books, Cory Doctorow’s titles and others.
Cory Doctorow’s titles on file there: https://manybooks.net/search-book?search=Cory%20Doctorow
Nice site, recommended.
I'm no Stranger Things fan but these are also fire. Only downside is they say "1985" on the back instead of Nike, which leans a bit too heavily into the vintage vibe for my taste.
I like this design because I like it, not cuz it's old.

These are actually like but it ain't in size 13 so they're no good to me
@koyu@koyu.space @isolategab I suppose it all hinges on whether you believe racists can change if exposed to the light. I think some can.
@design_RG Nope. Is it some sort of superstitious thing?
@design_RG It is no longer morning here, but I share the sentiment! 🙂
@realcaseyrollins Very true. It could be them seeking escape from the pressure and despair at possible failure too.

Matthew 22:37-39 is my mantra:
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
But Phillipians 4:4 is my favorite verse of all time:
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
