There has been a stealth war on evangelical Trump supporters since the Republican primary. One Southern Baptist leader literally goaded then-candidate Trump into a fight. And when Trump fought back - that same leader became a victim. That Southern Baptist leader also said Trump was leading the Jimmy Swaggart wing of evangelicalism. @realcaseyrollins @Sphinx An automated search program, assuming you mean looking at website contents for indexing, would be called a crawler, most likely. Or a spider, going about the web.
@Sphinx I think a bot would have to take some sort of action, like saving data, posting data or communicating with a server or user, not serving data. At that point Google is a bot.

@realcaseyrollins Yes, that's true. Many places have degrees of restrictions for new accounts. Some are by invite only.
We are not a General instance, imo; the theme gets diluted if we go that way. Easier to keep focus on a smaller place, but this is an open one, and the spot at the top of the list gives a lot of exposure.
I selected my first instance from that page, Qoto, but not by default -- I liked the theme and focus, and chose it for that reason.
