Proclamation on National Sanctity of Human Life Day, 2020

Today, on this 47th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, we mourn the many children’s lives ended by abortion and remember in prayer those who suffer the aftermath. The Church comes together today to pray for the protection of all unborn children and to make reparation for abortion, trusting that the Lord hears our prayers.

In the Catholic Church in the United States, January 22nd is designated as a particular day of prayer and penance, called the “Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children.” As Catholics, we are called to observe this day through the penitential practices of prayer, fasting, and/or giving alms.

I appreciate that people have questions about the Jojo situation.

Here is what occurred: he sent a guy's nude from a relatively low-drama instance, saying it was an image of him. As he is 15, I reported it immediately. The admin, a friend, removed it immediately, and banned Jojo. I removed the posts locally. He says the image was not of him and it was a joke, and I believe that but this is the sort of thing you cannot afford to be too careful about.

At present, his FSE account is still active. I'm thinking about what to do.

Since then, I am getting a lot of DMs about Jojo and I appear to be tagged in multiple threads about Jojo. I have been inundated with Jojo. The people howling for Jojo's blood, people that have never heard of Jojo but heard he was banned, people that don't like that I reported him, people that think I should have banned him long ago, people that are members of the Jojo fan club that want to know what happened. I do not intend to discuss Jojo or the most recent Jojo drama at this time, I do not plan to answer any questions or listen to any input for at least a few hours; I will be collecting my thoughts before I hear, say, or do anything else, and a couple of other matters have cropped up that require my attention, not to mention I've got other things to do. I'm plan to avoid being impulsive about any of this.

Again, don't bother me about Jojo. He's a kid: chill out for a minute, can't you?
