My daughters and I used to play #Minecraft 🎮 every day together. School started, work changed, life changed. I miss those times. I just ran across this old build in a beautiful lush valley.

I was with BBC Radio 4 this morning to record 'Loose Ends' which will air Saturday at 6:15pm. Emma Freud interviewed me about my long career, including the upcoming Broadway musical “Allegiance” in which I’ll star at London’s Charing Cross Theatre starting January 7.

In 2021, I started teaching myself #Java Programming for #Minecraft plugins using YouTube videos and whatever answers/explanations to things I could find in Google.

In 2022, I rewrote two of my server's core plugins entirely, making them better, more efficient, and have extra features.

My goal for 2023 is to create a brand new minigame plugin from scratch that will work just the way I want it to and give the players years of fun.

Before starting my server in 2013, I was a web developer working with PHP, which kinda prepared me but also really didn't prepare me. So having gotten this far without a teacher is something I'm really proud of and I hope to continue making progress in an effort to make my server even better.

I'm sharing my goal publicly because as they say... that adds accountability. Now I have to see it through or everyone will ask me about. lol

So... do you happen to have any good resources for learning Java at home?

Final session of @CodeClub at Fakenham Library, the children completed their Intro to Scratch projects. Special Christmas project in 3 weeks! Well done Oliver Barney, Eileen & Elowen.

My mom goes to dialysis 3-4 times a week, so she's stuck for 4 hours at a time with nothing to do but listen to audiobooks. I usually fill her phone w/ Obama books or Woodward, which she enjoys, but this time around I gave her Steven Levy's "Hackers: Heroes of the Computer Revolution."

I just got off a 45 min phone call w/ her discussing the 8-bit era, the origins of MS (boo, hiss!), how #JackTramiel was the only guy to out-negotiate/swindle Bill Gates, and more. Fun times.

I found this picture of my old, and only, #horse BC. He taught me to ride and moved to Kentucky with me when I started grad school. We were a pair for over 20 years until he passed away in Bluegrass country. I really miss him.
