No one wanted to go on this walk, but once we started it was quite refreshing.

This in Wrocław, Poland, became famous for some strange reason, so the power utility had it shaved, as this was against regulations. So sad. (couldn't find the original source of the photo)

For those who don't know our pack of , , here's a simple explainer of their characters. Two works referenced here might be unknown to many outside of Poland: Sienkiewicz's Trylogia is a historical saga set in the 17th century, Czterej Pancerni i Pies is a communist-period book and a tv series about four tankers and a dog during WW2.

When we walk with Bruno we don't pick tough paths. Now we could take an old, abandoned road through the forest. Some of the trees that grow on this road are at least 20 years old. Older fallen trees often block the way. Some of jump over them, some walk under.

Guess who decided that going on a long walk in this weather is a very bad idea. It's around 0°C, humid, cloudy, the snow is very wet. There's a lot of metal in one of his legs, following an accident years ago, and he picks only good weather for longer walks.

Queen of the bog. Just for a while. All this water will disappear in the summer. This place could remain wet all year round, but this would mean a financial loss for local farmers, so it is constantly drained. And when drought comes, the government will provide some superficial aid.

There was no snow left today, but we found some hair ice – an infrequent phenomenon most likely caused by – Exidiopsis effusa. Don't try to pronounce its Polish name: Łojówka różowawa. You might not recognize your tongue afterwards.

There's more water here than usual. But there are less trees than before. At least have a playground.

They look good now, but I wonder how our will survive the coming summer.
