Perhaps we should wait until spring before resuming our installations.

Had to call of today's installation. This means I could start the day with a glass of whisky, but I'd have to drive to the village store to get, and I probably wouldn't make it – our only 4WD car is being repaired, so we might be cut off from civilization for a few days. The joys of living in the middle of nowhere.

Strong language, weather

Beautiful. This means that weather is planning to fuck up over our heads pretty soon.

The old, corroded sluice gate is permanently opened now, and all the water in the ditches will flow into a small river, Mietiułka, then into Włodawka, then the River, one of largest rivers in Poland which, for much of its course, is the border between Poland and Ukraine and Belarus, and then into Poland's largest river, Wisła, and finally into the Baltic Sea. When summer comes the will be dry as dust, but the farmers will be able to mow them without getting their tractors stuck in the mire. They don't really need to mow those meadows, but they get paid for just doing so, so when the wetlands are wet, as they should be, they face a financial loss.

Interesting content warnings

Our three years ago. Now you can walk here without wellies. At least we don't have wet in our bed.
