A few years ago the constructors of our house wanted to cut down those #trees. They were a bit in their way. We decided to keep them, and now can only imagine how hot our house would be if not for their shade.

Hornets are pretty dangerous drinking companions. One of the rules here is to always check whatever you're drinking from. It takes an ambulance about half an hour to get to our place.
Two European #hornets (Vespa crabro) trying to get into our house. A few years ago they managed to gnaw holes in a plastic screen, we've switched to metal and it's holding so far.The good thing is that this year they found a better place for their nest, further away from the house.
