Had to move Barbie to a new house. I'd take the gateway down every time it was supposed to rain, which wasn't too often. But, hopefully, this will now change.

I put it up almost two months ago, here's the story: qoto.org/@szescstopni/11240783

The bike paths of are demanding. And the bogs along the way are perfect for disposing of those who didn't manage to get through.

Sufficient signal at almost two kilometres from a gateway just 6 metres high, through a dense forest. Soon it will be 14 meters up. My 27 yo testing platform seems to have an issue with the radiator but today was unusually cool.

At last some water in this desert. But it's flowing out – it will get worse.

Can you see the distance sensor that will, once properly mounted, measure the depth of water in a ditch on our border, in the of ? I hope potential thieves won't see it either.

Padło pytanie gdzie jest gateway. Odpowiedziałem, że Barbie jest wystawiona z mauzera. I wszystko jasne dla wszystkich, dla których ma być jasne.

The barrel was easy – just a few metres away from both the sensors. The question was how would the sensors transmit through thick, wet vegetation. I'm not measuring anything but radio parameters from this spot on the edge of a meadow in .

I'll have to find out how many generations of storks worked on this nest, the largest I've seen in this area. Someone will have to climb that pole to take samples for radiocarbon dating.

Had to wait a moment with an ill dog at the vet's in a nearby town – he had an urgent case.

Wild black cherry (Prunus serotina) fruit are starting to appear. The rest of the picture is completely out of focus.

A miniature Irish Wolfhound. They lived in Ireland millions of years ago, when Ireland was still very small.

Just kidding. This is Masza, of the pack of wolves.

We secured Dorotka's nest in the morning. Sorry, foxes, no juicy turtle eggs for you.

This is a regular junkyard now – our house is still under construction. Dorotka decided to lay her eggs where the steps to the porch are supposed to be. The construction of steps will now have to be put on hold for three months until the young turtles hatch. Talked to the park rangers – they'd rather not take the eggs from here to their hatchery– they're too busy with other turtles. This year is exceptional. The European pond turtle is a rare species and it is strictly protected in Poland.

Dorotka walking through grass to find the best spot to lay her eggs. I didn't want to bother her much, so this was taken from far away, sorry for the quality. Also, it was getting dark.
