People worry a lot about losing knowledge — about "burned-down libraries".

Comparatively few people seem to worry about what happens if you take a billion books full of auto-generated, often-untrue junk text and *add* them all to the library.

In theory, nothing is lost. In reality, everything is lost, because nothing useful can now be found.

The German word "ausgefallen" can mean:

- failed
- cancelled
- unusual, odd

The word "Aufzug" can mean:

- elevator, lift
- attire, clothing

So, the sentence "Ihr Aufzug ist ausgefallen" can mean:

- "Your lift is out of order."

or

- "Your get-up looks fancy."

I am learning so much from the #BlackHistoryMonth posts and am really thankful to everyone sharing them.
Here in Ireland we don’t omit black history nor black literature from the national curriculum. It would be unthinkable.

I get many Instagram apologists telling me, "You don't get Instagram."

No, I do -- I just disagree with the point.
