Idk if this is the right place to say this but it really pisses me off as a Ukrainian when someone born in the West starts explaining to me how 'NATO provokes russia' - it's the same as saying that women provoke rapists. Or when someone who didn't live one day under socialism explains what a wonderful system it is, apparently 'we just didn't do it right'. I wish ppl knew when to speak and when to shut the fuck up.

It is a bit funny… my wife and I often go out for a nice dinner in town. We had Chinese tonight. But I always walk, and she always drives. I invariably arrive before her unless she is very lucky with parking and traffic, which is very rare.

Since my kids were three years old, they've known to raise their hand as high as they can and wave it around whenever they hear a car engine start.

I built an Excel spreadsheet a decade ago to track work projects and have been using it as a template every year since, with only a few tweaks. And I only just noticed that the column header for email addresses still has a hyphen in it. Because ten years ago “it’s spelled ‘e-mail’” was a hill I would have died on.
