Pozdrawiam serdecznie firmę ADP, która ma dwa wzory kopert, jednen z napisem "POUFNE. Do rąk własnych odbiorcy" na froncie, a drugi z tym samym napisem, ale z tyłu. Dzięki temu jedna (ta z napisem z tyłu) przyszła do skrzynki, a po drugą (tą z napisem z przodu) musiałam odstać z jebanym awizo godzinę na poczcie.

Jakby kurwa naprawdę tego zestawienia składek zdrowotnych i emerytalnych nie można było wysłać razem z PITem W JEDNEJ KOPERCIE. Ugh.

Successfully flashed a Tuya-type smart plug to Tasmota! The most difficult part was soldering on to the connections for the chip, but it was pretty straightforward. Got a couple more of these I can do too. Now added and working in #HomeAssistant :)

Oh god I redid the math on re-entries:

Each Starlink v2 sat weighs 1250kg. They plan to have 42,000 of them in orbit.

Each satellite has a planned lifetime of 5 years. That means they'll be de-orbiting and replacing ALL of them every 5 years.

That comes to 23 sats per day, which is 29 TONS OF SATELLITE every day.

It doesn't go away, it gets added to the upper atmosphere. Most of the mass is aluminum. What the hell is that going to do?

Today’s short poem is called ‘Passwords’.

Six years ago, I helped the BAS press office craft a statement regarding a new record minima in #Antarctic #SeaIce. I remember because it was copied by a load of websites word for word bar on one where I was "Japes Pope".

Today that record has been broken for a second time, 2017 is now third lowest in the record. Amazingly I was employed on a grant investigating the increasing extent of the Antarctic sea ice at the time!

I have noticed and incredible number of #MoleHills in the UK while I've been on holiday this week: I'm unsure if this indicates a population explosion in #EuropeanMoles #TalpaEuropea (perhaps due to the mild winter?) Or if I've just not really noticed them before.
Anyway, on searching the scholar archive I came across this delightful paper mapping urban moles + which deserves an award for the title alone..

Quite shocking: a total of 145 FDA aproved new #cancer #drugs between 2000 and 2020 improved overall survival by only 2.5 months and only 4% report improvement in quality of life.

Even worse: most aprovals based on single RCT’s with small effects, so #evidence base very weak.
