and even if it's free to use, i hope it helps somebody one day , maybe someone that doesnt speak english so well ? applying from abroad (different languages are supported !) maybe ? applying locally in local language would also work, anyway, i'm always looking for feedback , and i'm aware that the interface became "difficult" since last night :-) sorry about that, always working to improve it you know it's only a

@tonic @edutooters LOL you are reminding me of my high school drafting class...most unpleasant memories.

i just made an file .ai with cookup.ai/o/the-mock-up-above- it's a beauty : from mock up description using ai to using ai mock up description to make a .ai file , if you're into it , would love a boost to get feedback on it :-)

if you use it and you like it, share it in your local community if you want 😅 i really think it turns out GPT3 "solved" the plant diagnosis much better than other solutions , so let's make history and of course "you heard it on first!"

i love making these little AI-character apps , here's the one of Nasser , founding father of Egypt 🇪🇬 cookup.ai/o/should-we-promote- i asked him what he would think of egypt today... Unsurprising answer. I also did Biden, Obama , Bill Clinton, and actually quite a few others, and they work great 🙂

I'm excited that we've put up a new #preprint on a project that I think of as the "thing explainer." The goal of this project was to, for a pair of biomedical entities, provide the simplest hypothesis for how they might be connected (after, of course, correcting for things like node degree, node type degree distribution, etc).

Conceptually this is simple. In reality (the parenthetical), it's pretty hard. Software & conceptual advances to make it possible.

We have to learn more about how these things work and make sure our patrons (librarian-speak for users, customers, etc) are equipped to approach them with a critical eye.

Thanks to everyone joining in the conversation about #ChatGPT. This is fascinating to me as a librarian and non-techy person. Since the tool is out there for the world to play and experiment with, we should prepare for unintended uses. While those in the AI/ML fields know the limitations, the people contacting librarians about responses ChatGPT has given them don't. The potential for people acting on misinformation and misunderstanding of the technology is very real.

Been seeing a lot about #ChatGPT lately and got my first question at the library this week from someone who was looking for a book that the bot had recommended. They couldn't find it in our catalog. Turns out that ALL the books that ChatGPT had recommended for their topic were non-existent. Just real authors and fake titles cobbled together. And apparently this is known behavior. 😮
