«Contra la concesión de #indultos a los condenados por sedición en Cataluña, en apoyo al Poder Judicial, atacado por el Gobierno Sánchez, y en defensa de la igualdad ante la ley de todos los españoles, sin excepción.
Consideramos muy graves los ataques del Gobierno y de los partidos que lo apoyan -incluidos los separatistas empeñados en destruir la Nación-, a la división de poderes y a la igualdad ante la ley, indispensables en cualquier verdadera democracia. Vemos con alarma el progresivo desmantelamiento de funciones del Estado, reducido a mero soporte de un Gobierno irresponsable y sectario que pretende suspender la Constitución por la vía de los hechos consumados.
No pensamos tolerar pasivamente la conversión del chantaje en procedimiento político “normal”, como sucedería con la concesión de indultos a golpistas condenados que han manifestado su intención expresa de reincidir, burlando expresamente los informes contrarios del Tribunal Supremo y de la Fiscalía del Estado. Esos indultos no tienen otro propósito que conservar la mayoría parlamentaria para mantenerse en La Moncloa a cualquier precio.
Rechazamos la “normalización” de la injusticia, del vaciado de la Constitución y de los ataques a la unidad de la nación española y al Estado de derecho. Por todas estas razones, creemos llegada la hora de que la sociedad civil salga a la calle a manifestar su rechazo de la deriva política antidemocrática impuesta por quienes tienen la obligación de defender la Constitución y unión de la Nación española.»

Consuming #news about #politics is more similar to {opening a tabloid, looking at bikini pics of a celebrity on Twitter or watching a 10″ clip of some bizarre sporting curiosity} than to {reading an essay or listening to a well-researched podcast}.
Political news are mainly morbidness and supernormal stimulus — not useful knowledge.

I am three days away from a 2-year-long streak on #Duolingo: learning a tiny bit of 🇯🇵 #Japanese and/or 🇩🇪 #German each and every day since June 2018 — and I've been travelling, out of the country, off sick…
Maintaining the streak is a silly thing, but this kind of challenges help me keep motivated and going.
I finished the German course long ago, so now I am just “practising” and not learning new stuff; and I've reached a point in Japanese where I'm not learning well (I should be properly studying grammar, vocabulary and kanji instead). On the other hand, losing the streak would be a pity, and I'm not confident that I would study regularly if I switched to my textbooks…
