I don't think this is going to be proposed. Even if it does then I don't see anything bad about it. Most likely they are going to implement some police accountability policies, which would benefit everyone.

We can do that in steps and discussion about police brutality would be less poisoned if both blacks, whites and others died at proportional rates. I know it sounds horrific, but it is still a step forward.

Yeah I feel the same. Additionally, I think by addressing the issues BLM are speaking about we could potentially help all races. Solutions to these problems are not black centric.

I still feel with freemo about the unity. It would be much more effective if other races saw why BLM would be beneficial for them too.

@freemo @vnarek @LukeAlmighty the entire point of black lives matter is that black lives specifically are treated like they matter less, and that is why any attempt to do what you're trying to do is missing the point. Also the people you're trying to appeal to don't care about abstract principles they care about things happening specifically to black people.

I think that black lives matter speaks more broadly about all systemic problems black people have.

There is some intersection with problems all races have, but they are still disproportionately targeted and they are a minority in this country so I would prefer to not poison their tags.

If you want to tackle the problem of police brutality what about or something similar.

@lordalveric Did you see the video? He was unarmed and died of suffocation when he was lying on the ground.

Why does the record matter if someone is unjustly killed? Additionally, this is not the first time something like that has happened. This demonstration/riot is against police brutality in general led by his name. Do you think that this cause is not worth it?

And I don't care if he was on duty. He killed that man and police must be accountable for their actions. Btw, police are a prime example of non-aggression principle violators.

100% of american cops who have managed to keep their job for more than a year are bad people, there I said it.

Any cop who is a good person would have arrested dozen of their fellow cops by now for abuse of their position and likely gotten themselves fired long before a year had passed.

So when people say "not all cops are bad" my first instinct is, unless you were just hired a week ago, bullshit, your as bad as the rest of them.

@lordalveric Yes he is. He was choked to death for a non-violent crime by the police. Getting out of jail means he served his sentence and had a chance to start a new life. I think it is worth to do that for any person who was unjustly killed by the system without punishment for the killers.

Again, I am saying it was justifyable to confuscate that man and if any other footage goes public of this man starting the fight I will gladly come on your side.
