Well, Fridays have always been my date night...

I’m choosing to spend my Friday evening working with dates in JavaScript.

Have I COMPLETELY lost my mind?!?

On Linux you can do this to set a default java version/jdk:

update-alternatives --list java # list it
update-alternatives --display java # see default
sudo update-alternatives --config java # choose a new
man update-java-alternatives # read docs twitter.com/vwbusguy/status/14

Saturday on the @reClojure workshops series: James Tolton will demonstrate when, why, and how to compile Clojure code into a shared library that can be called natively by CPython (no runtime JVM required!).

I made a mistake. I switched to imap and set the script to download all messages. I forgot that the script runs on a Cron every 5 minutes, and the process is something like a 2 hour download. Since a new grabber would start before the old one was even close to finishing, the math says I got something like 24! duplicates. Okay, it can't be that many since my hardrive still functions. But suffice it to say, it was many. Now I'm taking suggestions an email duplicate cleanup solutions.

💡Do you know the difference between var, let & const in JavaScript?

So, for a low monthly price Twitter will give me what Mastodon has had for... how long now?

Here is what happened after I decided that gmail's changing email security also warranted finally changing to imap, and then letting it download the mail all night (and it's still not done). Future issues expected.

These are my weakpoint with so this seems valuable

Wrote a little HTML highlighter using , rewrite-clj and .

Note the precise highlighting of var defs and locals.

These are some great reasons .org is a good replacement for .md. I should look into toc-org

The experience of writing README in @emacs Org-mode is unreal!
Some of the benefits:
1. folding and focusing on sections
2. auto-generate table of content (toc-org)
3. call API and format results directly in doc
4. inline display images
5. magical git interface (magit)

Whoa. Why is the only instance that has quote-toot, not mstdn or mastodon .social ?
