Depresssingly, this quote from 1984 is even more true today than it was then.

I think I just did my first "programming" in CSS. For the work in progress, my router simply provides no URLs for paths not yet created. On the table of contents I finally made a rule "a:not([href])" to be clearer than just having a click do nothing.

The CSS Garden sites were an inspiration to me! I've never been able to stop hoping about my CSS ever since. I learned that web design can be an art (albeit one I am not good at)

Some headway: here we are with an emacs-style of implementation, using for the hiccup and emacs as a battering ram for repetitive work.
