@veer66 As in, you want more type checking? And you want it in dynamic languages?

"Low-fidelity prototyping" in a talk. Little do they know I use .

So much of what is said here about Lua is pertinent to , too: nimble (tight core by design), not OOP, flexible (in part due to Lispiness), etc. I suppose the biggest difference is that Clojure is a hosted language -- which is mostly a pro, but sometimes a con. andregarzia.com/2021/01/lua-a-

Today I was shown front-end code and later in the convo it was brought up the code was written by a backend developer and I said "Oh, that makes sense."

And based on the reaction I got, I probably shouldn't have said that out loud. Whoops. 😅

Binding commands to keys in is one of the harder things to do as you have to write elisp.

Here's my guide on mastering key bindings:

@fabionatali@mastodon.social Thank you for the tip. I especially need to consider that `fc-cache` idea

@veer66 Interesting -- I wouldn't have identified that as a Twitter thing, let alone a stance to take. I view it as a way of providing a citation. Same as replying in an email, with the things you are replying to being included

I like how the Mastodon instance allows quoting (eg a type of retweeting with commentary) of toots. Why don't other Mastodon's allow this?

I laughed at this more than I prob should’ve. 🤣

Nothing beats lisp-case/kebab-case when it comes to readability! I challenge you to change my mind! twitter.com/diegohaz/status/15

I'm on Guix, but the question probably applies to Linux in general: to get a new font to show up in programs, do I just install from the repo? Or do I need to activate/enable it somehow? Do I need to restart my session to get it to show in browser/emacs?
