@pluralistic Interestingly we can see this happening right now with Spotify as well - it's starting to push musicians to pay to get streams. And of course they'll take those 'great recommendations' and start filling it with paid for shit and AI generated music they don't have to pay royalties on.
If nothing else, we can use this as a teaching resource an example of a breach of licensing terms.
Usually you get asked about copyright infringement, but I try and add in to using computers legally - use of copyleft, creative commons GPL etc

So has he released the source to his version as demanded by the license ? Seems based on his no as you can't just pick / choose what parts you comply with.

I wonder if there is a correlation between internet access and attitude to vaccines. in term of getting information that is accurate.
The outcome of the next general election will depend partly on what happens between now and when the election is held. Hopefully by then social media will be under some degree of control to avoid it being used to spread a single narrative, but that is rather optimistic.
It depends on how people vote, if their local MP tory, labour or otherwise does a 'good' job for the consitutents, such as sorting out problems, providing advice, clarity on policy and bring investment / jobs into an area, if running at a general election, they will probably get voted back in despite what the people higher up in the party are like.
Do people really care about a senior MP paying a fine for a tax error, they care more about what goes on locally, jobs, healthcare, crime.
@lupyuen Cool, code club provide something along these lines just very simple but still effective.

Sometimes simple works better too.
Not too sure, you may want to draw one out on paper first. Then perhaps throw up a web page with links that jump from section to section depending on answers to questions.
There is something like this for fedora and libreoffice contribution, but i think both are not official so are hard to find.
This has happened before and they lost a landslide in 1997, to labour.

This is where computer groups are really handy, you can throw a list of books on the group mailing list, and if anyone is interested arrange to eitehr bring to a meeting or pick up / swap.
The lisp book may be useful for people using / developing emacs for example.
I guess I just don't like throwing books away, a lot of people would say bin em as they are out of date
