So... My Russian fedi friends already know my sad situation - my husband (14 years of relationship) suddenly left me for no apparent reason (he's tired of me, I'm a bad person, he hates our cats, yeah), he told me about that just before new year and moved to another city.
I'm kinda disabled, I'm studying and I can't work at the moment. He made me pay for an apartment which he owns where we lived together (I spent all of the money I inherited from my mom on buying stuff for this apartment - that was stupid of me, I know). I need money to pay rent and buy meds and food for me and my cats (he doesn't want to feed cats too lol).
Russian fedi people raised enough money for one month. I have to ask for help you, my English-speaking friends, too.

But I agree that a tiktok interface would make a lot more sense for the type of videos being uploaded, peertube is better for longer viceos, perhaps a more formal series.
However would it be possible to have a tiktok style interface that either uploads to peertube or simply modify peertube to allow for this too.
Uploading video to peertube, will federate to Mastodon as they are both Activity pub, you can reply on here and the reply will be federated back to peertube.

Researchers have confirmed the presence of #exoplanet LHS 475 b.
It is rocky and almost precisely the same size as Earth. The planet whips around its #star in just two days, far faster than any planet in the Solar System.
These first observational results from an Earth-sized, rocky planet open the door to many future possibilities for studying rocky planet atmospheres with #JWST.

Agreed, shows how living things need to be resiliant to survive, what is scary is that we think bacteria and other organisms may also survive in the erma frost.
Makes you wonder what could also be lurking on Mars or the moon in this respect.

One day around 32,000 years ago, an arctic ground squirrel ate parts of a plant, silene stenophylla, including its seed. The squirrel was digesting it when its life ended.
Its body was recovered from permafrost and examined. Scientists germinated this plant seed. This silene stenophylla just bloomed.
It is 32,000 years old.
The strength, the vitality and stamina of living things — of life itself — is incredible.

2/ What I've learned is that sexual coercion is NOT about sex in and of itself. It's an attempt to exercise control over another person. Sex is a tool -- and it's used for coercion because it's socially understood to be an intimate affair.
