Well yes, it's been serious for a long time. Not just teachers, but pupils assaulting other pupils. In front of other pupils, it's an expression of power over someone else.
But the culture just handwaves the behaviour as boys will be boys. Just think about the type of person who does that and realise that some are adults now and have been for several decades.

I started at secondary school in 1986, at that time we were getting rid of corporal punishment and telling kids they had rights, the latter meant that the kids could rule the classroom, fearless of anything, assault teachers and threaten them if they tried to control the class.
Thing is rights come with responsibility, NO should mean just that, some how we have lost our way and some children, backed by parents seem to think they can't be touched.

If you want full freedom of speech your only real hope is going decentralised federation or peer-to-peer networks
Seriously any centralised social network hosted in the USA, Russia, China, Australia (to name but a few) is fully traceable, can easily be censored, and can be held legally accountable.
No so easy with peer-to-peer networks or decentralised networks hosted across numerous countries. It's not impossible, but seriously centralised network = no privacy.
