@readsteven @gdsk3k how do you mean it's the standard map? standard for what?
Old 32 colors pixelart picture,
320x180 px - Amiga palette, done in rush, so not perfect
I was trying to create impression of colorful composition within limitations of the computer:
- 32 colors from 4096 pool
- to compare: normal 8bit pixelart usually use up to 256 colors from 16,777,216 colors palette

The speaker asks "Can everyone hear me okay?"
Someone responds "Yes!"
The speaker starts their presentation.
The people who can not hear of course never respond.
@Pat yeah, that's what I read. I want them around: they're fun to watch, and I'm glad they felt comfortable here, but I also read they can bring in ticks and lice in the materials used to build their nest, so that's something to keep an eye on
I like this podcast for pointing me to interesting space stuff, but one of the hosts has a voice that's too ... sibilant, I think. somehow what he says just doesn't register unless I'm really focusing, where I'm usually only half-listening to a lot of podcasts. Also, I keep thinking it could use some "punch-up"... they have a lot of discursive dialogue that distracts me, and some of the details they include, where they basically just name components, are just lost on me.

yep, they are definitely nesting here. apparently a law protects them. I don't mind although I'm worried a call bit about parasites, so I'll probably remove the nest after they've raised their brood for the season

@graue go to city council meetings and talk to city planners.
some ideas about cities, if you're interested:

@maltimore having learned some Haskell, I think these slides, at least, are a tad misleading. All of the tutorials and things I saw when I was learning Haskell the first time presented the IO monad as the way to print to the console, which becomes super frustrating when you just want to debug by printing the value of something during execution without it being "in" an IO monad already. I found Debug.Trace eventually, but it wasn't super obvious

@readsteven
I didn't know you had a podcast.
I assume this is the one in question: https://readsteven.libsyn.com/
I'll have to check it out 😁

@Downes I don't know squat about WordPress ActivityPub plugins, but I'd wager the extra @ would be a problem. unless you get a better suggestion, and if it's not too difficult to make a new user just for testing, I'd try a username without an embedded @ ...other than that, I'd guess there's a log file on your http server that you can look at for PHP logs (I don't recall if WordPress also has it's own log file) that should give a hint @ton
@neonkaaa maybe? you're saying that if this theoretical deep space telescope array is based on interferometry, positioning wouldn't be a problem? I think it still would be, but I'm fuzzy on the principles there.
It is a different kind of telescope from JWST, so probably my comparison isn't germane. @izaya
@izaya I can't tell you that wouldn't work, but I remember someone much more knowledgeable than me at NASA was looking at using stars for positioning outside of earth orbit because atomic clocks weren't enough
@izaya I've thought about this too. I don't see a reason why not except that positioning seems like it'd be a wickedly hard problem. think about how long it took to align all the jwst optics, and they had rigid structure to rely on.
