if you follow the recipe, be sure to wait until the sugar crystallizes: the recipe says "syrupy coating", but honestly it's just wrong. the video shows what they should actually look like.
just in case: if you do stop too soon, or you have to step away, you can throw em back on the stove and keep stirring, though you'll probably have lost some of the coating to your wax paper
It's very disheartening to see that in the space of a month, the majority of images on my feed went from being described to having not even one sentence as a description. I started ID-ing on tumblr but #Mastodon really encouraged me to make it an actual habit.
Please, if you're able to, add descriptions to the pics you post.

not sure I'd say they're "good" (they're kale chips after all), but they're salty and spicy. I can't believe people are just putting vinegar and salt on them. gag.
I used to keep all of my personal programming projects under a "work" folder. I renamed it to "fun" because I wanted to think of all the fun I would be having programming, but I kept trying to `cd` to "work". I would just rename the folder back to "work", (I stopped programming for fun a while ago anyway) but in the meantime, I made scripts that reference "fun" that I don't want to update, so I just added a link from "work" to "fun".
I don't know if that means anything, but there's something psychically painful about that symlink.
I promised that if folks helped get the Locus Magazine fundraiser to $75k, I would write a holiday story. You did, so I did - "End of the Year PR Missives From Scrooge and Marley" - and it's up at Whatever - with an extra added audio version!
Yaks of the Industry are pleased to announce our first release. It's kind of 80's retro I guess. https://yaksoftheindustry.bandcamp.com/
I'm glad such t-shirts already exist. I've had this exact thought numerous times at work
