@thor It's thankless and can be true art in code. No one will touch it or comment. Compare that to the glued together trashy code that somehow functions as an application.
Simplicity is elegance in design. This is the approach of good firmware. Compare to all the nonsense in a regular application and it's efficiency.
@braindouche I'm a Zebra F-701 fan. They were insanely durable but the balance and weight were perfect with the fine point. Zebra has really black ink and in the fine point or ultra fine point sizes, it would not smear but remain crisp and easy to read.
Pilot pens and mechanical pencils had their own charms. Pilot reminds me of Zebra, I despise most of the products but there are a handful that weren't a horrible idea.
@thor Favorable pay and amphetamine.
@copyme@mastodon.online @freemo This experiment has been tried before with the USA and Australia being the result.
@tripu When drinking alcohol and using cocaine, cocaethylene is made in the liver through a trans-esterification reaction. Sometimes it's really important to point out the alcohol and or cocaine as they both cause bad reactions with commonly used drugs. A Beta Blocker and cocaine is really bad. Alcohol and benzos cause a kindling effect.
Alcohol also has the ability to be completely eliminated from the body and not just infinitesimally close to being eliminated. See halflife and ask Mathematics or Physics Department.
@mostaurelius @FearlessJuan @CeeDub70 I thought the Reading Rainbow guy was muscular to fight off the bullies he attracted.
@Houl It bothers me that no power is supplied and there is no connection to the network port. A random switch port is being cut. If only it had a parallel port and MIDI connector. Let the caption read: The x86 Assembly Manual.
@thor I enjoy reading what I can in German from time to time.
@mostaurelius @bookstodon Back in 69 Mr. Rogers and François Clemmons influenced many young minds by having a foot soak in a small pool. This was when pools were segregated.
@lucifargundam It's what it looked like but I'm used to extensive carbon deposits with knocking misfires.
I'd get a cheap cigar and blow smoke around the intake manifold to see leaks if they are present. It looks like a lean misfire so the timing advance could be too much or it's not getting enough fuel at that time. If it's the later, it will usually retard timing and dump excessive fuel to stop it.
I'd look into the fuel system for a filter or a dying pump. The temperature range on the plugs could be an issue too.
Do you have a distributor or Coil Packs? If you have a distributor, that could definitely cause a misfire on different cylinders. The same with something in the fuel system.
I've never had a misfire like you are having. I've had an iron block V8 so hot that it was knocking on every cylinder and my foot was pinning the accelerator. I also had a RAV4 with a Toyota problem.
Neither of their plugs were damaged like your spark plug.
I'd say try a higher octane fuel and check out your operating temperature. That kind of misfire is rough on an engine. That's what compressing an explosion at the wrong time looks like. I don't know why it's so infrequent unless it's a fuel problem. The equipment to test it could be rented from a parts store.
@lucifargundam That's puzzling. Could be low fuel pressure on the fuel rail causing the intermittent misfire. It could be a clogged filter. It could be a number of things but I don't see anything that makes sense.
A compression test will tell if it's the head.
Is it a stumble misfire or a knock misfire?
@lucifargundam It could be a bad injector causing the misfire. A scan tool could help you work out the cause. Log live data on ignition, fuel pressure and temperature.
OBD-2 works in closed loop mode until the operating temperature is reached at which point it goes to open loop. Closed loop mode is basically safe mode.
@lucifargundam The electrode is eroded somehow or started a carbon bridge, the spark gap was massive and you might have some type of oil leak around the plug. The valve cover gaskets might be shot.
The plug looks like it has seen a misfire or two. Check that spark gap and start using anti seize and dielectric grease on the connections. It's not necessary but it's so worth it. If that really is mud on the threads, get all the connectors with dielectric grease. It keeps water out and ensures a good connection.
@thor Quantum Tunnelling is where the fun begins.
@PawelK You'll do fine, RISC-V is built for it.
@knightons@noagendasocial.com @PawelK Mercedes AMG? It's all fun and games until a team of German engineers focused on performance have a chance.
Something about software unlocking faster acceleration makes me think that the system is garbage. Mercedes had a good name.
@deviantollam @MaaikeV At University I was given the academic accommodation to pick locks during class as a way to keep my hands busy. Master Lock 410LOTOs kept my hands occupied.

To this extent I'm really interested to know how the age breakdown of people on the #Fediverse. On one hand it would seem to make sense to me that most people here remember the "old internet" before the centralization and they're here to rekindle that flame of independence. On the other hand the youths are generally pretty up on this whole technology thing. I grew up on the internet and since then smartphones have become even more ubiquitous.
