I like Moderna because of DARPA but Pfizer seems to get the most market share. DARPA chose Moderna over Pfizer to develop a rapid vaccine development program around 2013-2015 if memory serves me correctly.
Moderna is essentially the Toughbook of vaccines. I'd rather have a love hate relationship with my vaccines and not paranoia. The military seemed to be the most trustworthy part of government and I believe they used their own vaccine.
People that say that there won't be any pain or long term side effects are the people I will try to get away from. I'd rather hear about my chances of death and the possible side effects.
There's more to the story but it's a vaccine, not a Toughbook and I don't want to waste your time with a story.
Do you like old fashioned wrist watches? My favorite is Paketa which needs parts for repair. What's your favorite manufacturer of watches?
@thendrix I hated the Raspberry Pi for lying its way into the FOSS world so I paid twice the price for some mysterious board from China. I've only mined as a benchmark and after putting new paste on a CPU. I donated the hashes to the developers.
Let's boot Apache #NuttX Real-Time Operating System on a 64-bit #RISCV Device (QEMU Emulator) ... And study the Boot Code inside NuttX

@music If this is true, that's rad. If it's false, I can respect someone who goes big.
@thendrix Remember the crypto that actually was being earned by the devices?
@freemo @LouisIngenthron I was advised not to get the COVID vaccine by doctors and I have a medical exemption. The exemption is essentially that I don't need it and anaphylaxis without a known cause is a problem that I have. Getting the Jab could definitely help to determine what all I react to. Two infections and I haven't had it since.
COVID was a killer and it was possibly a lesson that we should have learned from SARS and airplanes. Get the jab and there's no reason to stop flying. Let's see how that works out.
Long range recon units were given more rations and a vaccine of some Anabolic and Amp. It was very successful. Perhaps keep it in mind.
@freemo @LouisIngenthron It's more about showing American progress and something actually made in the US. Cops would respect criminals and citizens would always be able to ask another for a magazine. Secretly adopting the Metric System and having a true standard, STANAG, used by everyone.
It sounds like Imagine but without the logical fallacies and shameless violations of their beliefs by relying on the Free Market.
@freemo @LouisIngenthron Oh I forgot about the question. I don't believe in getting unnecessary vaccines and COVID is next to the Flu. Tetanus probably has helped me more times than I know. Rabies would be the only additional vaccine that I would get right now.
There was also an HIV Epidemic declared in my area by the CDC before big COVID made everyone forget. I'm disappointed.
Elected officials should be held to their oaths with punishment of death by firing squad. Corruption will erode our freedom and potentially destroy our country if left unchecked.
Incompetence is also worth mentioning for obvious reasons like the economy, internal relations and the damage done. Airlines are protected from being called terrorists that use biological weapons. If only something as old as the word Quarantine could have prevented this.
@freemo @LouisIngenthron I'm against Pfizer getting all the glory while Moderna has ADEPT or ADAPT. The marketing and the manipulation, I just saw pharma greed backed by the government.
Mandate AR-15 ownership. There's too much money being made to even try to fight back. Regardless of the origins of the virus, an airplane or a few introduced it to new populations. It's the exploitation of the public.
For our elected politicians, their actions were near treason. To be clear, I don't think the vaccine? is a conspiracy. Moderna did excellent work, DARPA chose wisely. The amount of corruption that was thinly veiled as being a public good was very concerning.
There's also the whole worldwide pandemic and world powers refusing to cooperate or share. The most difficult part of this pandemic had to be keeping a good pokerface while making a killing and being viewed as heroes.
@freemo @LouisIngenthron There was also the jab that the previous presidency had seen. Both presidents supported the jab. The first real field test, protected against harm to individuals and shoved through the FDA.
I can understand the benefits of testing technology on the public but it didn't have to tank our economy.
We’re incredibly fortunate that #PinePhone’s Touchscreen runs OK with Apache #NuttX RTOS

@lore It's more an issue of Licensing than anything else. If a properly licensed software was sold, it could be compiled on the different operating systems. Companies are greedy and they don't want their precious code to be free. God forbid developers having to innovate at a rate that affects the profit.
@thendrix Lemmy from Motorhead had the answer.
@thor FreeBSD.
@freemo The 2011 is a pistol. I don't have experience with them but I haven't heard much about them that was positive.
The HiPower is very close.
@AmpBenzScientist Not sure I know that saying...
@freemo It's an expression used in the deep south for the implied ability to hit the head of a nail with a round.
@freemo The stock trigger gives me anxiety with the length of the squeeze. It takes a magazine for me to get used to it again.
If you want to get weird, try a full size Hi-Point and see what you can do with it. The results might surprise you. The trigger sucks (feels like a piezoelectric igniter) and grabbing it with two hands can make the magazine drop because of the release button location. The recoil has weird characteristics too.
Just don't fall in love, she can only take a single stack. Also don't keep it near a cordless drill. Perhaps I have almost drilled the wrong size hole but caught myself when the cordless drill felt less ergonomic than usual.
@freemo About ready to hammer nails in aren't ya?
