@nekojanai I had severe anxiety for years. The number 1 thing that helped was to remove absolutely all caffeine and stimulants, and I got benzos for when I got panic attacks.
Idk what your situation, just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. It can still get better.
@ChristiJunior @judgedread the assumption here being that civil war is the only way to avoid falling to Marxism. The truth is that plenty of people hate Marxism, and there is plenty of room within the current political system to avoid such an outcome.
@judgedread then you are a fool. Either side choosing not to concede would lead to war. We would lose our standing in the world. We'd lose our reserve currency status, throwing our bond market into complete disarray. Russia and China would use the opportunity to make various land grabs, increasing the risk of a nuclear reaction from someone. Not to mention the widespread havoc(though that's probably why you would "have no problem" with it).
If you want the US to remain powerful, then you shouldn't want civil war.
@judgedread we'll see. Its extremely rare for a president to be reelected during an economic downturn.
What I worry about most though is that the loser of the election won't concede. I think we're closer to a civil war than any time since the last civil war.
@judgedread true, but I'm not feeling the enthusiasm from undecided voters that I did in 2016. No lawn signs are out for either side.
@caranmegil exactly! Letting millions of people starve in a country where there are more guns than citizens is an excellent idea that can't in any way go wrong.
@umad80 Excuse me, I identify as an attack helicopter
@RangerJohn Trump barely won in 2016 against Hillary Clinton, a politician about as charismatic as my poop sock who had just had a scandal about rigging the Democratic primary. Do you honestly think Trump has a chance of beating Biden after COVID and everything else?
61% of Americans say we're on the verge of civil war: https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/powder-keg-61-say-us-on-verge-of-civil-war-52-already-prepping
@Phaedrus after COVID, the reasoning for this should be clear. Imagine a virus just as infective as COVID but with 10-50x lethality. Such a disease would absolutely cripple the entire globe and require a worldwide lockdown. This would cripple the economy and make the likelihood of governmental instability almost assured.
@Nightingalle any amount of alcohol drank on a regular basis will cause upregulation of metabolic pathways that cause toxic metabolites upon alcohol consumption. Hence it's best to not drink regularly, period.
If you're going to drink, a supplement called N-acetylcysteine can be taken a couple hours before drinking that can significantly reduce the amount of toxic metabolites produced.
@mettaben gerrymandering may play a role, but there is also simply a massive cultural divide between rural and urban areas.
@digital_carver congrats! HN doesn't leave me anxious or mad nearly as much as Reddit™, so it's still a net win.
@cinebox you can if you get the calories and right balance of macros and micros, but it's tough. You'd have long periods of low blood sugar daily.

When we see something on the news that we know about, we always think "That's not right!" We then forget about that and believe everything else we see.
