@KawaTora@kolektiva.social Relax. The Church of Satan's got this one in the bag.

@jenniferplusplus That may work in places with adequate public transit infrastructure already, but in most of America, if we want people to use it, we need to build it first, and the money would be better put towards that. No tax credit is going to get me to use a bus that only comes every two hours and has stops more than a mile from my origin and destination.

So many of us in cars would be happy to use public transport if it just didn't suck so bad.

@peterdrake @webbj Yep, the Republicans who were willing to move centrist have already quit (quietly or not) the party. All that's left are the radicals.

@SecurityWriter It's common for dock catch-and-release fishing, especially for kids.

But, in my experience, we generally went for fish that were easiest to clean and tasted the best.

@peterdrake Oh, yeah, screw that. I'll take the reliability of a USB dongle any day.

@impermanen_ I get annoyed with people who slow down checkout because they can't put the phone down, but just while walking around shopping? What kind of busybodies would get upset about that?

When I was growing up, I heard the refrain "doesn't matter who you vote for, just matters that you vote" over and over. And I believed in it.

This year, though, if your vote would be for the guy who says he wants to be dictator, then maybe sit this one out.

@gary_alderson @SecurityWriter We passed that mile marker in 2016. Don't let history repeat itself.

Note to self: Before testing gamepad controls in your game, remember to turn the gamepad on.

When I was a kid, I always thought Buzz Aldrin's story was more interesting than Armstrong's. He was a real life hero, an inspiration.

It's too bad he turned into such an asshole later in life and ruined his good legacy.

@interfluidity I don't think it would ever gain traction then.

"Better the devil you know" and all that.

I truly don't understand why Democrats aren't hammering that last point every single day.

@interfluidity Would the random selection be made before the votes, or only if the slot won?

Oh damn, I've been a huge proponent of S230, but this is suddenly making me reconsider, lol.

@ThinkingSapien Yeah, iirc, Mike Masnick had a pretty good breakdown of how the new warning was in direct contradiction to the evidence put out by the same attorney general's office.

Probably blashpemous to Christians

I would really love to, some day, make an epic video game that draws from the cool parts of Catholic lore (think Dante's Inferno and celestial wars) and where the ultimate twist is (spoiler alert for a game that will probably never get made...) that the "Satan" of this world is the original God, cast down to Hell and driven insane when Lucifer led his successful rebellion and assumed the throne of God for himself.

@ThinkingSapien That's crazy. Even if it is happening, the occasional bullying on social media where you have a block button is vastly outweighed by the benefit young LGBTQ people get by finding inclusive and supportive communities when the real world offers them nothing but sorrow and fear.
