Actually I did wash my hands everytime I touch cats and dogs. Yesterday I came home from a week long trip and cat visited me in bed and I was like AWW I MISS YOU and the rest was history. But yeah thank you for your advice!

Long time ago I received my allergy test results: moderate to dust mites and mild to dog/cat fur. I never had a problem with the latter.

Yesterday I patted a mate's cat who shed a lot of fur. Then I must have rubbed my eye afterwards or something - my left eye swelled, reddened and became itchy. It still feels a little swollen now after a sleep. I've proven my allergy result with hard, practical science.

Send help and antihistamines.

I do want to see how federated blog works out. I've never been a Tumblr person myself, just traditional blogs like WordPress. Federating with Mastodon sounds fun though.

Damn doc you know the right stuff to offer! I was thinking in the past few days if I should just have my blog in qoto gitlab (I have my dokuwiki before I figured out how gitlab works as static web host). If you have the time and energy to set up a federated blog on QOTO I'll actually use it. Better do it before my blog grows too big to migrate too.

@freemo I'll look into that. Not gonna lie I took the easy way out with the widget generator and end up suffering for it. The widget generator was up but struggled to connect to any Mastodon instances for a while.

Mastodon widget on my blog has magically returned! Not sure if browser issue initially or something else since I'm on a different computer right now, but good to see it back.
