@piponfishing@sunbeam.city yes, you basically inoculate grain jars (spawn), and then you use that to inoculate the straw. Look for alternatives around or see who is producing grains in the area, they always have a lot of straw at the end of the season

@piponfishing@sunbeam.city During fruiting I converted myself into an human humidifier. Spraying water around every few hours and filling the buckets in the room with water. They really want a high humidity, if you have a place insulated (plastic on the walls or such) that would help

@zinat
Looks cool to me, very simple and intuitive. I don't see any album option of the sort, is that something you plan to implement?

@Gregouw
Welcome, I'll be happy to follow your discoveries in this journey =)

@iulycious welcome to the ... mastodon.art is a very nice instance, I'm sure you'll find yourself a home =)

@piponfishing@sunbeam.city
This is how big bags look like, but you may go as small as you want. I also just used plastic bags for trash: i.ebayimg.com/images/i/2628494

Doesn't have to be straw, you can use any carbon based material (I even used threw away cardboard) (and my own hair, but didn't work), but for bags straw is a bit easier to work with and gives consistent results

@allegrargella@mastodon.bida.im
Magari farne giusto un paio per allenarti? Sennò è difficile imparare. Altra idea può esserci farci un pentolone di sugo col pomodoro e imbottigliarlo/

Sott'olio e sott'aceto?

@kibi
Wait for to release the federated chat...!

Anyhow, is also quite used, and it can be bridged to discord in case.

Idk why discord is so popular though, it does have a good group vocal chat (better than mumble), but as a text chat is no better than other foss projects at all.

I'm writing an article on what do I understand about the of . Working on some images now, starting to share the cover picture. Article to come tomorrow or so!

Would you behave in the same way if plants had eyes?

@xj
Thanks, do you know if and where the issue is being worked on?

@eliotberriot@mastodon.eliotberriot.com
Thanks for your reply, I understund (more or less) the problem. Do you know where is the discussion taking place?

@roipoussiere

@freemo
Ohh... marvellous. And how is the integration with the fediverse going?

@freemo
Oauth can work even between different servers? I used it once but the programs were on the same machine

A humble request for all the : please, we need a for all the various services. Imagine having your mastodon account and logging with that to or ... that would be a killer feature. Any work already been done in that direction that I don't know of?

@marsxyz@maly.io
Correct me if I'm wrong, but difference between all those services is not just FE, but also in the processing and dealing with data. Now, Pleroma is trying to be as lightweight and elegant as it can, which is a great thing, but they are even struggling to have a suitable Erlang image manipulation library, I doubt they'll manage to be the backend of a peertube-like instance just like that.
Unless I'm missing something.
I really like , just to be clear =D
@yunohost

@prismo I second what others say, if it works already let's start to play with it!

@piponfishing@sunbeam.city well, 3 levels would likely make it easier to collect the compost at the bottom... and as you know you need some space underneath for the leachate.

I use worms in a variety of ways, so it's difficult to say exactly. I have little worm towers around in the garden and in a barrel (I wrote about it in a toot a while ago), and I also add them to the regular compost.
My "head quarter" is a 220 liters barrel, it is a bit tiny as they are a lot, but I keep giving them out to friends and more towers. I posted a picture of it today.

As for how much to use, I'd say consider how much you want to grow and eyeball the organic matter you need for it. If you produce 20 kgs of lettuce, you are fine inputing 20 kgs of kitchen scraps + carbonium in whatever composting method you use.

Those shelves look a bit tiny to me for mushrooms... can't you hang some bags to the ceiling or something? You can start with a simple mycelium syringe, or even with some store bought mushrooms and clone the mycelium at the base, it just makes things slightly more difficult.

Consider, as a rough conservative idea, that you'd get around 1/5th of the spawn. So 10 kgs of hay > 2 kgs of mushrooms
