As some of you may be using the British rail system to travel for the first time this Christmas, I thought I'd share my number one train tip.
After visiting the toilet you might be tempted to place your hands under the soap dispenser before rinsing them.
Do not do this.
Always check the water turns on FIRST or you'll be left with a handful of liquid soap and no easy way to rid yourself of it.
Also, take hand sanitiser.

If you've never had to pay much attention to how other people treat you online (and I hate to generalise, but I'm going to guess that - if that's the case - you may be able-bodied white CIS man with certain immigration status) then maybe you don't have much insight into all the hidden labour that others have to do to minimise exposure to unsafe behaviours.
And there is, let me tell you, a *lot* of hidden labour.

The people in the neighborhood wanted a bridge over the creek. The city had no funding for #PedestrianInfrastructure for something like that. But they did get an #art grant, so they hired an artist to create an art installation that would span the creek that people could walk on. I frequently walk my dogs along this creek and yes, over the bridge sometimes.

Whining about Windows
A friend was just teasing me about that. :) I wonder if all the relatively oldish games that I want to play (or better replacements) are on Mac (or for that matter Linux (or Chromeos?)) these days.
Currently it's in the mode of urging me to put lots of stuff into the Microsoft Cloud or whatever, putting stuff there even if I don't tell it to, and then spamming me with warnings that I'm running out of space there and should pay them money for more.

I love (by which I mean can't flipping stand) how #Windows is always turning on OneDrive no matter how many times I try to get rid of it, and then producing lots of icons called "Where are my files?".
Dude, if you don't know, I certainly don't! Maybe you could stop randomly relocating them all the time, and we wouldn't have this problem.
On the desktop of my brand new #FrameworkLaptop, it just for some reason added a file called "My License", which appears to want to be the license info for some previous Windows computer, but a actually leads to, like, a dead link somewhere.
Oh, #Microsoft, you are so bad at pretty much everything!
