@freemo Leave it for tomorrow's reading, it's pretty late at your time zone. Good night!! 🌃
Depending how 'cheap' that price is, it could be a 'not'. But a bit uprange, around $200 USD or so, and they definitely are worth it, imo.
Just arrived hoem and trying to catch up, will read the article later. An interesting topic, thank you!
@Sphinx The styles of collowuial conversation and words change from UK to USA, this is an example.
I also remember learning that unwanted things and assorted detritus would go in the 'trash'.
Which here in Canada is usually called 'garbage', instead. UK people will say it's going 'to the bin' , or to be 'binned'.
Washroom, Bathroom, Toilet, Rest Room, you might find people using variations for the place we urgently need to visit for nature's calls. 😜
@realcaseyrollins I hope you are feeling positive, and that's not sarcasm, Casey.
There are hard times and good times. But one thing I can assure you is that, Good or Bad, change is always going to happen.
Keep that in mind when times are bad, better days will come. And also keep it in mind when times are good - ad try to think and prepare for more difficult days. 🙇
@realcaseyrollins That is a good thing to do. Go for it. 👍
@freemo And on trying things, we discover... new things.
Firefox now has screen captures.
And upon selected, area chosen is Saved to clipboard or a file as desired. (image 2)
Off line now, meeting a friend for a walk! 😄 bbl!
@freemo It took a while to load, and a login/password auth, but it did come thru.
Could be useful, but it needs to be fast.
@freemo LOL, the Norse presence is Still Strong there.
@freemo LOL!!!!
I would say it's probably a northern English one!
@freemo Interesting, and reminds me of a nice SciFi novel I read.
On how things went after a big blast of magnetic waves wiped out power systems nationwide. Society collapsed promptly, and the story starts there.
Great novel.
@realcaseyrollins Good morning, Casey!
I don't have much time, going out in a few minutes, but wanted to leave a note here so I don't forget.
The issue of Control in society is VERY real, but it is not by age that control is acquired.
But by power, political, judicial, economic.
The real crux is that it's a struggle of Classes - the ones controlling the majority of wealth, resources and having a disproportional weighting into the political systems.
It's a Class Struggle, Grasshopper.
There's plenty of boomer aged people who are marginalized economically, socially peripheral and struggling.
@freemo Oh - now I know when someone pulls a Toot for Edit/Repost and there's a reply popping below it already.
Ends up on top level, orphaned from the thread, but not lost completely. Ahh.
Note taken, was curious about this. 🆗
@freemo TY, was trying to remember the name of the big, better known similar -- Evernote it is. Never used it yet.
@freemo Any better similar alternatives to suggest? I find the idea of being able to collated varied info, graphics and links all in one place appealing. But have used it only sporadically.
It seems a bit slow, yes.
@freemo sorry, I did an edit to add a note and we lost your comment about sharing with friends who use OneNote.
It is possibly useful, to add to one's own OneNote files if person uses it.
Seems to be taking forever, trying that option out and it opens a popup window (needed to authorize that), but I have strict filtering in FF and dont think it might work. Not logged into MS account on my main browser tab set either.

Interesting new "Share" button and options available at the top of that nice summary box on Bing.
Edit: had to go and see, try the link. It gives the same results as my previous Bing search, but with a shortened URL already.
Problem cat in 1850 ukiyo-e
@chikara Thank you for the nice post -- and the lovely image of the cat -- which I have saved to my collection of Cats and Backgounds. Love the mischief on his eyes, and the image is high resolution, can be cropped to a neat 1500 x 500 pixels version for a mastodon profile background image.
The high quality in the image also presents the fine detail in the illustration well. Amazing the beauty and quality of those, they were wood prints mostly, if I am not mistaken.
Why so many cats appear in our posts here? Well, I am a fan, along with many other masto denizens, starting with Gargron, the mastodon lead developer.
I find them amazing in many ways. Beautiful, expressive, wild in their hearts.
I aspire to relax so completely as they frequently do - in assorted poses and places.
How does it relate to STEM? (some of us have a theory, very hush hush, that Cats are really in control, and run the Internet. Funded by Porn sites to pay the bills)
Artist paint pigments in Japan
@chikara That was nicely crafted, thank you Chikara.
Nice research with lots of pointers to more in depth information. Clear organization. Nice imagery. The natural pigment minerals are intriguing.
I remember reading about Lapis Lazuli always being a prized pigment, rare and expensive, used in jewelry and paint preparation.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapis_lazuli
I love the Bullets "•" you used in the text too -- and kind of wonder, how do you create one? I feel sorely limited on the options for visually organizing posts here in the Toot editor, as we have no bold or italics.
Thank you for the nice, rich post. 🙇
@_lunawinters
...trolling worked. 😜
