Forgot to mention -- Pinafore runs inside a normal Web Browser.

It CAN be used like that as a Mobile client, probably BETTER than most of those out there.

Pleroma and GlitchSocial instances allow MarkDown, as well as BBcode .

BBcode, I was a power user, being a Forums person for years. Now Markdown is the hottest one for me, but those two projects support BOTH.
