@Sphinx

No, I never had that bug -- I think it's on Chrome, possibly, in your case; you should install and try FF to see.

What I have reported, then see working fine, and now again buggy is that Images in the Feed will appear above the Toot Editor .

And that means I must slide them away, and find some area on the feed with text only posts. So that I can see what I am writing, and create a post properly.

@freemo

Oh, geez. I think my report of "the bug is gone!" was premature.

Full backup, new Windows 2004 install, and the system is lovely, fast, pleasure.

But --- oh oh. Overlapping images are Baaack.

@Sphinx @freemo , FYI, as I am thinking it might be browser related. And I couldn't try in MS Edge, as the add on is required, a FF native one.

Will report if I get any more findings.

It is a great place to travel. I am curious about the world, and would like to see other lands. But I feel so comfortable in Portugal, strong pull to go back again.

Slow travel is the best, you can stay in lower cost accomodations, and the cost is very reasonable. Couldn't do the same here in Canada, reason I haven't seen much of the country.

In Portugal, I have been to many different parts, regions. It's a compact country, size wise, but there's so many different aspects - climate, topography, landscape, vegetation, it all changes. And so much History, I love that and it's fascinating.

Authentic too, not Disney style.

LOL, that sounds odd indeed. I assume it would be a blog book, compressed into one?

We can't win all the time, although Freemo tries. Hard. 😜

How to order a Coffee in Lisbon, or whole of Portugal too.

In the picture, an Abatanado, which is my favourite style.

Drink it , savour the Pasteis de Nata (tarts to die for) and read your penpals letters in @slowlyapp
on a sunny morning. <3 PT

> Custard tarts!

That, yes, in Brit Speak. We call them Pastéis de Nata. A Portuguese delight, with a good coffee, one of the joys of being in Portugal.

Miss being there, I have been spending Spring in Portugal for the last three years. Love the country, it's my ancestral land.

LOL, I liked the 'being tedious' part... There's a big wear down involved, I agree. I usually walk away, roll eyes and found something more productive to do. 😉

Bom dia, Blitz! Estes pastéis estão muito lindos. Obrigado! 😃

Saudades de ve-lo por aqui! Linda foto mesmo.

5K is a fine size, I would be happy with that.

Ah, thank you -- I jsut posted the About link since I was really curious what software you had.

Here on mastodon, the Mute Conversation is worthless to me, in my experience so far. To the point of me avoiding a comment on a topic simply to avoid flooding my Notifications.

I just went looking and can't tell what platform you are in -- social.handholding.io/about

I assume Pleroma, possibly? or something different?

I like to see competition, many years ago I built and sold systems and offered all kids of alternatives as a lower cost option. Then AMD started to get crappier in rating their processors close to the max possible performance, while Intel ones were usually rated at less, and could be pushed if desired.

This is a long time ago, so things have changed, 20 years or so. But I have been mostly on Intel systems, a few older machines still here (I hate scrapping them) have Athlon 64 processors.

I would shop on that site or similar ones, there are few companies in Toronto operating this kid of thing. You can't beat the price or quality of their offerings, althought we could get lucky with Kijiji.

I got 3 Dell PowerServers from there, unbelievable price, I just had to buy all 3. Too cheap to pass.

Those are rack mount, RAID disks with hot swapping if needed, dual Xeon processors and loads of slots for ram. They are a bit noisy and suck some electricity so not for casual play, they are sever class, IT machinery.

The Thinkpad T500 I mentioned is an older model, but I love the design and couldn;t resist the price either. It's running well and the rubberized black coating is so cool.

@k11m1

In Europe there are less options for low cost, although you might be able to find a similar company operating in Germany. They must also cycle thru hardware in 3 year times or so, I imagine, and have equally nice business class gear.

@Kovaelin

@k11m1
Are you in Europe, then? I noticed systems prices a bit higher there. Got a very nice deal on a mobile though
@Kovaelin

@k11m1 @Kovaelin i7 processor, Quad core, plus hyperthreading -- 8 possible processing threads, it's wonderful.

@k11m1 @Kovaelin just looked at their HP Elitebooks and they are a bit pricier, the Thinkpads W are better deal.

Mine is similar to the first one in the list. This company is legit, I have purchased from them before.

@k11m1

Honest to God. That is including sales tax -- it was $225 CAD before tax, free shipping. And it came perfect, packaged so well.

I wanted to send one overseas to a friend, and the quotes I got, shipping only were about $350 CAD. So, impossible to justify.

I am telling you about this kind of deal because many people don't know about them. In the USA there's even more. In Europe it could be more expensive, but it's such a lovely place to live that I wouldn't mind paying the extra costs.
