@MOTT Yup notice how the graph trickled down to almost nothing at the start of 2018...

@Kobra In all fairness i should have fixed that for you a bit quicker. It has just been a crazy week for me. Glad to have you back!

@sandfox PixelFed doing that is not following the standard (though they can do it of course). The proper way to implement that would have been to make the filter user customization so they can set what is or is not in their feed. But otherwise render everything and if the post has a picture in it give it special rendering or something. Obviously assuming a specific activity type for all content is not the intention of ActivityPub

@sandfox I have no issue seeing things in my timelines with a contrary activity type. For example i can subscribe to peertube from ant activity pub server and see all posts, even if i am not on a video specific server. Usually all activity type is shared. Would be against the spec not to

@sandfox ActivityPub is a W3C standard. While you can of course not follow the standard as long as you do then the servers will talk to each other successfully. It has little to do with Mastodon being popular or not.

@MOTT Great to have you zath! Looking forward to getting to know you.

@zath

Hello. I don't have an elaborate story to tell about how I came from Matosphere or something like that, but I will tell you this seems like a nice alternative to Twitter. Nice to see you all!

@QuantumHemp I wouldnt say all that now. While it is great at treating symptoms there is little evidence that it actually has any meaningful effect on reverse cancer in actual patient trials.

@bigkafka I'd say there is some usefulness to the labels but ultimately you loose a lot of important nuance, especially if you lean on it too hard.

Really cool chart I just found that shows the location of various organs and their referred pain. Basically the location on the body where pain inflicted on the specific organ would be, which is not where the organ itself is located.
