I dont view those as "the basics of the bible" they are a small incomplete part of the message which is easily misinterpreted if the full context isnyt known.
In most passages I find with a deeper understanding the message is very different than the one that appears to be immediately apparent.

@Algot Well I havent seen this season of GoT yet so I cant speak to that.
But LotR was resolved through an epic adventure. Gandalf provided aide but not flick of the wrist solution.
In fact if you read the simerilian you find the exact opposite is true. Gandalf was a sort of god with more than enough power to effect huge change. But in previous forms he was defeated and the use of that power backfired against his cause. Thus why during this battle he appeared as a weak old man with more limited and subtle influence.

I disagree with the notion that the bible was simplictic. In fact research into documents of the time, including the bible, shows very clearly a pattern of deep complexity to these messages that can take a great deal of expertise to understand.
A prime example of this are the intentional gematria messages built into passages. Its well documented with consensus among historians about the process, including in the bible. The result is that unless you learn the ancient languages including the gematria rules you will miss put on the complete message as it was written down.
That doesnt strike me as simple. Though again I respect your perspective.

@Algot Can you give an example of such a book? LOTR seems to be the most common example yet doesnt seem to follow this pattern.
@SecondJon I disagree, the original canon has excerpts which can, to some, easily be interpreted as describing a quality in the meme. Even if i myself may not agree fully with that interpretation.
We have the overturning of the money changers for example that could be seen as anti-capitalism by some

@theodraxis On the one hand i totally agree. Everyone has something they could share that would have value in almost any discussion, most of all political.
On the other hand most people are so driven by emotion on the internet they can not articular themselves well enough in political discussions to convey anything of value in the first place.
Scientists are guilty of this too but I find less often, they tend to resort to logic more often and engage in reasonable debate.
