I leave for the hospital in about an hour where I will be getting spinal surgery. I think im more excited than scared.

@Gargron I'm not sure I agree with that. ITs more like they agree with each side when their right and disagree when they're wrong. They dont blinding follow a side, they follow what it is right (to them).

But I rarely hear them claim both sides in every argument is right, they do tend to pick a side. Its just not always the same side.

@Surasanji Oh there is clear bias, that much is clear. But I can garuntee you any website from the union ont he matter is equally as biased. Thats the nature of things sadly

To be fair 700$ is a lot particularly when you consider you get FIRED if you dont pay that 700$. So pointing out it is a waste isnt too bad.

@peterdrake

@Surasanji I'm reading tghrought he website now and they seem to illustrate their claims and why they make it. They give specific names and figures.

Can you point out a specific claim made on the site that can be shown to not be true?

@peterdrake

Maybe, what makes you think the concerns raised on the website arent a reflection of reality? I dont personally know.

@peterdrake I think I have the opposite reaction. You tend to forfeit a lot of rights signing into a union. They should be legal of course and up to every individual to choose if they want to join one or not. But I dont have an issue with someone saying "Unions rip ya off spend your money on something better".

But for me knowing people might protest them for this makes me want to support Delta even more to balance it out.

I don't know this guy, but he just followed me, and he seems cool... and in his bio he asked for people to introduce him to Mastodon...

So, everybody, give a big warm welcome to...

A good writeup on the right-to-repair movement, focusing on Jessa Jones, a stay-at-home mom who taught herself to fix phone and tablet motherboards after her kids flushed a new iPhone down the toilet.

@koyu@koyu.space I dunno the whole "lets burn money to solve problems with no concern for how much money we burn" sounds more like a socialist description than a capitalist one.

Money =/= capitalism

@Surasanji A vaccinated populous is certainly better than one that isnt, generally speaking.

But I'd argue a populous that has all its smart people vaccinated and all its dumb people unvaccinated is even better! Sure in the long term a few of the smart people might get sick from the lack of herd immunity. But most of them will be safe and then after a few years you dont have any dumb people anymore. After that point EVERYTHNIG gets better.

@Saederup92

@Saederup92 Like most things it is a bit of both. But there is clearly a strong genetic correlation.

@Surasanji

@Surasanji Im not so sure about that, the vaccinated one stands a better chance of spreading the infection of idiocy throughout the gene pool.

@Saederup92

@Surasanji Its true, they tested this on a thousand kids and not a single one of them developed autism!

The side effects including "smelling like a potato" and "being an idiot"

@selea Yea it isnt uncommon for a vaccine to have a 90% or less efficacy after a single treatment. This is why most vaccines involve booster doses.

@mikelga I live mostly int he Netherlands. America is a great place to visit, horrible place to live :)

Get your homeopathic vaccines today! The best essential oil money can buy.

@freemo This is our shore today. Bad sea condition, seaguls at home but never on the ground! Those aren't by far the worse sea condition we ever have seen but we are in may and we were hoping better weather by now...

@mikelga Nice, I miss the beach. My house in America is right over the bridge to Jersey in Philly.
