For what its worth I can second that. I have seen many people leave due to drama and myself witnessed a higher tendency for drama int he fediverse than other mediums.

I think we all remember the Wil Wheaton drama as an example. I was in touch with him during and after and it was just horrible what the fediverse did to him for non-offenses.

That would depend largely on how its implemented. If your internal balance of "Will" (their internal currency) carries over from one year to the next then each employee would have personal interest in ensuring the choices they make will be financially beneficial in the long term as well as the short term.

Nothing he said seems to suggests he thinks **all** fediverse users are gabbers, he just seems to think this one particular user is one.

This sounds like a company I would LOVE to work at. My time is usually wasted with frivolous meetings, emails, and all the corporate waste.

If i worked here I'd have an excuse to not use a SINGLE thing that costs me a penny (such as a meeting room). So I would be unaffected by the charges. Plus I'd have a more pleasant work experience and be way more productive.

Ahh so it will just be implemented as a default configuration line? That seems fair then. Not a tactic I'd personally choose but nothing I'd complain about either.

Open-source means free, as in choice :)

@pixelfed There seems to be an effort (one I have been discussing contributing to as well) to fork all the fediverse apps that include hard blocks.

Basically have the fork follow the upstream exactly, just with blocks removed.

Id be really curious to hear what your thoughts are on that movement and what your opinion might be of those groups.

As someone who wants to help contribute to that effort I also would hope you wouldnt see it as a hostile act, as I certainly support your project and appreciate your contributions.
