Just FYI #QOTO is blocking servers as spam comes in. We will unblock once those servers have resolved their issues, if they resolve them.

Also we will be reattempting our migration and upgrade sometimes in the next two days. Likely to be a full day of down time but with some major improvements on the other end.

Not always, there are types of supernova events that can happen over the course of days. For example in binary star systems that just finished forming you can have super nova events occuring due to the interaction between the stars.

That said I am not arguing that the earth is 4000 years old, only that the argument made here is invalid.

Most of us used it just for fun cause we were terminal warriors. There were many people who choose to not run a windows system and lived entirely in the terminal... We even had framebuffers that would have made this look like normal video but we were just too nerdy.

As far as I know this was never used out of necessity.

I linux this tech is still built in. No one had to recreate it. You just run any media player and use ascii lib to display it.

This was never used for streaming though.

@obi if they dont fit into the standard mold, or are tarnished by the media, if those things stop them from advancing thats still on us as voters to blame. We are the ones who chose not to vote for them for those bad reasons. So we are still the ones i making the choice.

I will never understand peoplea obsession with blaming everyone but the people for all wrong. This lack of personal accountability for our own choices is the problem. No matter who you ask it is always some other group to blame.

@obi Oh no we definately get to pick them. Every stage is elections. We have primaries where we vote for the presidents and we have lower level elections where we vote for the people who make it to the higher levels.

@iron_bug Our tickets that have bounties are at least a full day worth of work usually. and with open source reviewing submissions is common anyway.

@LouisIngenthron I like trial periods too. thing is in at-will employment states (As usa tends to be) you can fire someone at any time for any reason. So in my mind its always a trial period, there is a certain standard you are expected to maintain.
