@stux the only thing that ever stopped me from coding a 3d MMORPG (and why i went with text based mud) was largely the time, effort, and skill it takes in creating 3d assets.
@stux I like the style. I mean alien worlds have been done but I dont recall any with quite the aesthetic you have here. Feels more realistic somehow. I like it.
Just FYI, for people who write a lot with mechanical pens, check out the Kuru Toga line with rotating lead engine. Every time you lift up your pen the lead rotates slightly which keeps your lead relatively sharp to a point. They are also very affordable at <$20 on amazon.
Just a note, they are inexpensive so despite some of them looking like metal they are light and plastic. But they seem high quality and dont break easily.
Is your concern and constitutional violation that US supreme court overruled the states decision rather than it being determined by the supreeme court of the state itself?
From the blurb I assumed it was the states supreme court not the federal supreme court that made this determination, but I didnt read the article.
I would need to review the case more to have an opinion here.. But the blurb doesnt give me enough to go on.. I mean I hate Trump and certainly am happy of any news to keep him off hte ballot and just generally sad if that is overturned. But if this honors the constitution and laws is another matter, I'd have to review the case to say.
My only thought is, how can a local judge keep him off the ballot constitutionally if he hasnt been impeached and barred from office. I would need to know the state laws but that usually needs to be done by a senate not a judge as I understand it.
@LouisIngenthron Pretty sure weve been in constitutional crisis land for at least a decade now
This is a gross misrepresentation and compounded generally by misunderstanding of how corporate law works.
What is meant by this is "in most industries there are a small handful of companies that own some shares in a diverse array of other companies"... to say they "control" those companies, even if they owned 100% of it isnt fair either. Shareholders of other companies dont control them, they can vote for board seats, those board seats vote for CEOs, those CEOs have some degree of control. But even then they explicitly can not act in the interest of the controlling company, that would be illegal. They must act as independent entities and in fact **compete** with the parent company.
If you think ground turkey is good wait till you try the other 3 elemental turkeys, fire turkey is the best!
@KarunaX Murdered 1% of gaza but gave a meal to 1.75% of gaza once... that makes up for it right?
@antares you could actually work from a single sample, at least in theory. The liquid is almost entierly saline solution, the other chemicals are just preservatives that doesnt effect the tests. So, in theory, you can use the sample from one test to do two tests if there is enough to go around.
Amazon.com seems to have one combined test. A search on google has several hits.
That said i dividually each test is <$10 each so just buying seperate tests seem to be cheaper than a combined test.
@antares Huh, you can get at home tests over the coubter just fine, they are nowhere near $100 either
While im perfectly ok with the covid guidlines, they are well supported by medical consensus i do agree tests like this are a better way to go. Not sure how id feel about tax payers needing to pay for it, i might be ok with that.
Haha that was amusing, thanks.
Glad you agree then i gurss
Oh and to answer your question... I have lived in almost every major country in my life, that includes the UK. I am uniquely equiped witb making the determination because i have expierenced the healthcare of ~20 to 30 different countries (depending on how you count it) in my lifetime.
Nope you got a lot of thi gs backwards. First off you thinking thr NHS did a great job, just like me thinking it didnt is **not** the part i called intellectually dishonest. I did say your attempt to use the USA as evidence of your assertion that public is better than private was the part that was intellectually dishonest.
Second when did i say my argument was intellectually dishonest? That never happened.
I didnt criticise you for not backing up your opinions, i criticised you for repeating yourself without adding new information.
All statements of what is fact is an opinion about what is a fact and what is not. The more evidince you provide the more convincing that opinion may to others that jt is correct. But its still an opinion, and nothing wrong with that. Generally people state opinions as fact when it is an opinion about so ething being a fact, as we are doing.
