I respect your opinion, but no.
Harris' abuse of women, specifically trans women, with the SESTA act make her absolutely not qualified.
A vote for third party is a vote for one thing, someone who isnt evil, the only option that isnt evil. It has nothing to do with perfection.
@KimPerales Frankly endorsing Trump or Harris is negligence. Any responsible person would endorse third parties for this election.
@buingi Is this a question? Not sure what you are asking.
@louis One of my investor friends can not get home insurance no matter how much he tries. Its crazy.
@louis Depends on where in florida honestly.. And while hurricanes will get worse it likely is to be a slow change over decades..
That said I must admit, I'd never invest in real estate in florida given the climate crisis.
@dclr42 What is the sign was that you should pray more?
So far (and perhaps its towards the end of your link) I havent seen a single example of Ukraine supressing a journalist. Out of all your links can you point me to the one case you think is most exemplary of this so i can focus on reading about that?
@ThingsArentOK@kafeneio.social @TheOldGuy
@realcaseyrollins @ThingsArentOK@kafeneio.social @TheOldGuy
I only got through the mention of the first reporter.. But seems this is about ukrainian reports **in russia** being supressed. The first example was about a ukrainian reporter who wound up in occupied territory and got arrested by Russia....
Thanks. Reviewing. Ill let you know my opinion once i have one.

Sure, I can cite that.
Source for the high (and increasing) hate crimes towards LGBTQ+ including gays:
Kondakov, Alexander (November 2021). "The influence of the 'gay-propaganda' law on violence against LGBTIQ people in Russia: Evidence from criminal court rulings". European Journal of Criminology. 18 (6): 940–959. doi:10.1177/1477370819887511. ISSN 1477-3708. S2CID 210497632.
As for citations regarding the law that will wind you up in jail for desplaying any pro LGBTQ sentiments, including being gay...well there are 10 regions in russia each with their own laws making it illegal in additional to the national law, one such region includes jail time. For a citation regarding the national law thoug, the most relevant see here:
"Russia: Federal laws introducing ban of propaganda of non-traditional sexual relationships" (PDF). Article 19. Retrieved 14 February 2014.
As for your comments about Ukraine aside from the scary language that amounts to "he drafts people", which is so silly im not even going to give it attention, can you please cite your sources that he is jailing oppositional journalists, thanks.
Well its eastern europe.. to be equally as fair Ukraine has a lot of growing to do as a nation to modernize. So your right their not exactly a thriving country either. My point is that while Ukraine isnt all that impressive on the world stage, compared to russia, at least in terms of ethics and rights, they are miles ahead.
You are probably just a victim of the propaganda machine.. It is running pretty strong from Russia and seems to be well adopted in conservative circles which may be giving you an unfair biased perspective.
Lets be straight, Russia is where you get murdered for being gay and if you manage to survive you wind up in jail for it.. Its really hard to see Russia as the better guy compared to Ukraine when they actually treat their people with dignity and have sane laws.
> There's a distinction between following a formal Religion, and being religious. The latter is about conviction of faith and worshipping something larger than yourself. The former involves associating yourself with a formally defined group of people who organize around religious principles.
YEs agreed. Though the term "formal religion" would more appropriate be "organized religion" as you can beleive in a formal religion (like say Catholicism) but not be part of the organized religion (the church itself and its organization).. but yea, more or less agree.
> Most "atheists" satisfy the latter definition of being religious, but still claim to atheism because they don't generally follow a formal religious organization.
Well yea atheists are religious, not a member of an organized religion. Though one could argue atheism is "formal" in the sense that it has a strict interpritation everyone shares, it just isnt organized.
Sure, both groups are claiming something though, atheists are claiming there is no god, theists are claiming there is. Both have a burden of proof, neither can show it.
The only person without the burden of proof is the agnostic, the agnostic is essentially saying "I've heard both claims and have no evidence to accept either of them". So the agnostic is the only person without a claim and thus the only one without a burden of proof.
I agree on the conclusion (atheists are religion), not so much on the why (the things they revere).
I would argue they are a faith based religion because atheism implies certainty or strong conviction towards the lack of a god. Since god is not falsifiable it requires the same amount of faith to claim he is real as it takes to claim he isnt. Therefore atheists are faith based. Only an agnostic, someone who makes no assertions about a god's existence, can truly claim a non-faith based opinion.
Doubtful, but it would certainly be a huge improvement.
@sergeant First I heard of it, thanks. I'll look into it, probably tomorrow as our admin doesnt work the weekends.
