@leyonhjelm Building a wall around a nation of people is neither an effective nor cost effective way to address crime. Particularly when the vast majority of the people coming across the border illegally do not deal in violent crimes.

Was running my new project in demo mode where it just continually increases the phase and magnitude of a load's complex value then plots it on a Smith chart. I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed it produced a Celtic knot pattern.

It is pretty simple. How much do illegal immigrants cost us per year? Well they dont and cant receive welfare, they usually work below minimum wage, etc. These effects, while one could argue is abusive to the immigrants themselves, is not costly to the nation, in fact the net effect is it raises GDP rather than lowers is (as any extremely cheap work force would).

So not only would the wall cost us money, but since it would reduce illigal immigration it would also lower GDP. So overall the wall wouldnt save us money from any angle you might look at it.

As much as I am against the wall it is fair to say it is a lot easier to keep immigrants out when they come by ocean than by land.

While it would be an effective deterrent the real issue is the cost simply doesnt justify the benefits.

@dansup When i looked at the patreon link I didnt see any reference to an instance or a link to it. It looks more like some official patreon page for pixelfed itself. Which is why i asked, i agree it does look sketchy

A sneak peek at the first draft for the new UI in V2 of my ROES meter, an advanced SWR meter with VNA capabilities.

I still need to cleanup the location of the axis labels, and I want move around a few other elements. But it is coming along very nicely.

I can stare at this smith chart being generated all day long :)

@szbalint I tend to agree, as long as it isnt explicitly stated in an EULA that they wont do this then most likely they will do it.
