Wow, the last three months have really shattered the previous September to November temperature record for our planet...

Does anyone off hand know what the S stands for WRT the description logic family (The one that is equivalent to ALC with transitivity).

I go through text books like most people go through fiction books. People seem so surprised how many subjects I know, if someone doesnt know me they may even think im a liar... but I tend to finish about a text book a week for 20 some years now.

She literally has gotten so absurd she is the butt of an internet joke before she even said it.

80s TV logic: No matter how far someone falls from, even a plane, they will be perfectly fine as long as someone catches them.

Even now 10 years later every once in a while I forget Blue (my dog) is dead and almost go to call for her before I remember... right in the feels.

As a diver I hate to burst everyones bubble but being neutrally buoyant in water does not resemble being weightless. You still feel gravity, you'd get closer to feeling weightless if you went skydiving.

Updated the power off screen of my color epaper tablet. Perfect.

It is **always** ok to ask a woman if she is pregnant. The reasoning is simple, if your wrong there is nothing to be ashamed of, there is nothing wrong with being overweight and looking pregnant.

How many scruples do you have?

Woooaaaa, so my new color eink tablet has a cool hardware feature i just noticed... the backlight is can change not just its brightness but also its color temperature. While that may not sound so cool for a regular screen it isnt really common on eink displays since its the actual backlight. But rea i can make my backlight as warm or cold as id like

Apparently if i drink A&W diet root beer after brushing my teeth it makes it taste like cream soda....

buried my friend and former bandmate michael nicholson on thursday. he had cancer back when we recorded the salvation navy, and was clear of it a decade ago. but it came back with a vengeance.

died last friday at hospice in brantford. left behind a wife and 9 year old child. brutal stuff.

here’s some old photos with both of us! (he’s in the red toque, hugging me from behind in the first one)

Queer doesnt exist, its just a made up word with no meaning or utility.

Trans isnt a sexual orientation so it doesnt belong along side other orientations.

Therefore from now on I think im going to just refer to it as "LGB" which ill use for discussions about orientation. It might make sense to do "LGBP" to include pansexuals/poly people, as that too describes orientation.

Then maybe "TICN" for gender expression (Trans, Intersex, Crossdresser, and Nonbinary).

I think ill just start dropping these in conversations and use each distinctly different. The LGBTQ+ designation never really made much sense.

Then again maybe jsut "non-cis" and "non-straight" might just be more straight forward. But less likely to engage in useful conversation.

Oh shit Karl Urban was in a Xena episode... wasnt expecting this.
