Have you ever seen or heard of the Altair 8800?
Tech historians and #retro #computing people know. Important, fist personal computer ever.

I am so far down the Spacemacs / Vim / Emacs rabbit hole right now... I'm converting to org mode for all my notes!
so i'm pretty new here. it seems a lot nicer that twitter. lots of gentle leftist wishing going on. almost no self-promotion. and is it just the neighbourhood i've stumbled on or does nearly everyone has some sort of furry anime- or spooky halloween-themed persona?
The deeper I dive ito Spacemacs (Vim + Emacs) as an IDE the more I'm loving it. Im learning org-mode now and its pretty epic.
With that said only thing im struggling with are some of the hotkeys. The ones that start with space are easy since they provide a guide on the bottom. the ones that begin with : are easy enough too mostly because I already knew those from using vim in the past, at least the basics. But all the other that dont have a lead-in key I have no idea what they all area. I cant find a good complete cheatsheet either.
Anyone want to trade access to #funkwhale libraries? I have a rather large one (half a terrabyte) of high quality flacs, mostly discographies. Will trade access for access.
Had I the heavens’ embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
-- William Butler Yeats
I think i need to do a calligraphy of this one soon.

Chunlei Guo at the University of Rochester in New York state and colleagues developed a computer that uses 32 strands of DNA to store and process information. It can calculate the square root of square numbers 1, 4, 9, 16, 25 and so on up to 900.
