What static site generator should I try out next?

I'm Closing down Inditoot for forever. I won't be maintaining it. You can move to other servers like qoto and quey. ❀️

Seems we had some downtime on QOTO, first time in over 2 years... investigating now

I really REALLY love the look of the new site I just launched for my Goblin project.

goblin-ogm.com/

Its an Open-source :opensource: OGM (Object-Graph Mapper) for Python.

Wow QOTO is really rocking it on user retention. We have been up for over 2 years now and seems after 2 years of signups over 25% of our users remain active. Considering we dont delete old or inactive accounts that is pretty impressive!

I wish i knew someone skilled and motivated enough to be worth partnering with on my new company. I've got a good board and other aspects figured out but I always struggle to find other tech talents that are both interested and have the time to invest when I start a new project...

Dino 0.1 is released! πŸŽ‰

Dino is a secure and open-source application for decentralized messaging. It uses the XMPP (β€œJabber”) protocol and is interoperable with other XMPP clients and servers. We aim to provide an intuitive, clean and modern user interface.

Release blog post: dino.im/blog/2020/01/dino-0.1-

Riddle:

The thing is both a dishonest fruit as well as a repository of knowledge.

So what do I work on today...

Have you ever considered that we may be on the wrong side?

What do you mean?

What if the democracy we thought we've been serving no longer exists and the republic has become the very evil we've been fighting to destroy?

I don't believe that and you're sounding like a separatist!

This war represents a failure to listen...

Pretty much right now in the USA...

I just did my first release as the new project owner for Goblin! It's an open-source :opensource: OGM for Graph Databases that sits on top of Tinkerpop.

Check it out here:
git.qoto.org/goblin-ogm/goblin

So now that I took over the Goblin open-source :opensource: project I started cleaning up the README and other repo documentation. Its amazing how just a little bit of time and attention can make a project look significantly more professional. Logo only cost me 7 bucks too!

@freemo

The CCS code of not showing the instance name by text after added ticker.

.display-name__account {

display:none

}

It seems a really large portion of all natural evolution of languages, historically, was through the adoption of portmanteau of existing words. The more I read word etymologies the more evident this becomes.

This is for @design_RG,

For making the text box like this one.

Get the "CustomCSS Injector" here:
addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firef

Visit Qoto.

Click the button of "CustomCSS Injector".

Choose "apply to domain".

Paste these CSS codes on the text box.

.drawer {
width: 40%
}
.compose-form__autosuggest-wrapper {
min-height: 500px;
max-height: 700px;
}

.autosuggest-textarea__textarea {
min-height: 500px;
max-height: 500px;
}

.compose-form{
min-height: 750px;
max-height: 750px;
}

Click "save" button.

woot, took less than a day to get integration testing up and going on the goblin project.

The best, deepest, dialogues they ever had on Star Trek: Voyager.

Janeway: Let me ask you something. If you were something other than a human being, if you were a different kind of animal... If you were a small bird, a sparrow - what would your world be like?

da Vinci: I should make my home in a tree, in the branch of an elm. I should hunt insects for food, straw for my nest, and in the springtime, I should sing for a companion.

Janeway: And you would know nothing of the politics of Florence - the cutting of marble or mathematics.

da Vinci: Of course not.

Janeway: But why not?

da Vinci: My mind would be too small.

Janeway: As a sparrow, your mind would be too small, even with the best of teachers?

da Vinci: If Aristotle himself were to perch on my branch and lecture till he... fell off from exhaustion - still the limits of my mind would prevent me from understanding.

Janeway: And as a man, can you accept that there may be certain realities beyond the limits of your comprehension?

da Vinci: If I could not accept that... then I would be a fool.
