Good Will Hunting was an **amazing** movie and this analysis of the first therapy scene was really insightful. Really appreciated this:

A quick little clip from this weekends cave diving session. Went down about 100 feet into this cave system.

A beautiful picture of a I took about 70 feet (~22 meters) below the ocean in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands

Whenever I go to this spot to practice my Cave diving skipps Virgil The Soft-shelled Turtle comes over to say hi. He likes to get his belly scritches when I am diving, assuming a fish doesnt distract him anyway :)

This is only 33 feet / 10 meters down before entering the cave. Its a practice case so fairly shallow. It only does down to about 120 feet / 35 meters or so.

I never shared this particular photo from the dive I have tagged above. Its a photo of the wreck on the dive as I approached it from above.

One of the best Dives I ever did was in Sardinia, Italy. #SCUBA #Ocean #Water #Diving

I remember when i was a brand new diver and how scared I used to be before dives to even 30 feet... now here I am planning dives to 200 - 450 ft knowing full well half of my equipment i cant even take town because it would explode under the extreme pressure, and I'm not even worried. In fact im excited.

I remembered this epic quote from Good Will Hunting and now I need to watch it again:

You don't know about real loss, 'cause it only occurs when you've loved something more than you love yourself. And I doubt you've ever dared to love anybody that much. And look at you... I don't see an intelligent, confident man... I see a cocky, scared shitless kid. But you're a genius Will. No one denies that. No one could possibly understand the depths of you. But you presume to know everything about me because you saw a painting of mine, and you ripped my fucking life apart.

Is it weird that optimizing JavaScript is such a dinner discussion for ? I never thought about it when I was more of a JS dev, but things like Google Closure say I should've. Doing his amazing optimization thing, I highly recommend @mfikes

As much as some of us love to hate (not= JVM), there are some concrete reasons to consider it a good language. Thanks, @freemo

Whoa. Why is the only instance that has quote-toot, not mstdn or mastodon .social ?

@freemo @saxnot

I see what you mean (and how the original phrasing hides details[1]), but I disagree about talking about cars not bringing anything in. If someone proposes an argument for X that makes use of properties that are shared between X and Y, then it might be useful to figure out whether they think Y or not-Y. If they think not-Y, then probably the argument got miscommunicated somehow.

[1] which I do understand is very annoying; after all, I'm the guy who often has to tell people that they only know that _this_ zebra has stripes on this side only at work; arguments with hidden detail make it harder for people to notice such subtleties.
