I went spear fishing today.. didnt catch a single spear!
I make it a point to never lie to anyone without lying to myself first.
One of my pet peves:
People who use "empathy" to mean "compassion"... empathy just means you can read and understand, and feel another persons emotions. It doesnt mean you actually care about their emotions or happiness.
A successful con-man is very empathic, and will use that empathy to take everything you own and destroy you.

Not quite. Alexander Bell suggested use of "Ahoy" for the telephone greeting. It was Thomas Edison that popularized "Hello" in its place, though he didn't invent the word. Usage of "hello" in print existed as far back as 1826.
Interesting fact of the day: The first recorded use of the word "Hello" was in 1866, and the first published use in 1867. At the time it was not used as a greeting but rather as a proclamation of suprised like "Well well, hello, what do we have here".
It only came to be used as a greeting because it was popularized as such by Alexander Bell when he encouraged people to use it as a greeting when picking up the phone due to the open-line nature of phones at the time.

Pardon me, the new snapware sets are available at Costco and I must run over 5 homeless people, ram some single mothers (who’s rent should be raised btw), and throw my McDonald’s bags out the window on my way to obey consume. Oh… also my prescriptions are ready. Pffft. Mental disorder. Who does this guy think he is? Were Americans! We live in the greatest country on Earth! We are the best people because we are diverse and united!

the USA feels like a mental institution where virtually everyone has some sort of personality disorder... Anyone who thinks guns are the problem are completely disconnected with the reality, americans are so toxic and vile as a society I would expect them to be killing each other en masse regardless of access to guns or not.
Last tine i pointed this out the QED in the responses was impressive.
