Lynn developed "generalized dynamic instruction dispatch" for IBM in 1966.

2 years later she was kicked out, just after Robert Tomasulo published the "Tomasulo Algorithm" for out-of-order execution of floating point instructions, utilizing Lynn's work.

Everyone knows Tomasulo (and he did great work, mind you!), but no-one knows Lynn.

Later, in technical compsci, you may stumble upon highly integrated circuits, everyone there knows #VLSI but not the inventor, our dear Dr. Conway.

Her story, her struggle against IBM who took decades to apologize to her for her mistreatment. She transitioned in darker times and pioneered not "only" in compsci. She was what many would call "greater than life". She died early Jun 2024.

Today let's remember Lynn 🏳️‍⚧️

It's hard for me to say as if nobody cares but I want us to recognise the error that in Capitalism's perspective, from the very top, they don't care and so working in that big bubble needs adjustment else serves cut-throat-ism (though you might not see of feel it until you're cut or discriminated as excuses for the same cutting of people).

Overall from top nobody ever wanted to feed you or care for you...
You see it in parents even nowadays as children and adults have bullshit job detectors and more bad experiences...

You're only as useful as much as you bring in the money...

Unless you bring bosses much more in they don't care... you're replaceable- if they see you as a cow they can cash, then they might 'care'.... and

suddenly you're loved again...

It's ok to use, if you say more often "it's strange to me" as that shows it's just for you or you current experience never came across this as a "weird thing for me"

█"Weird" and "Strange" (as words) are usually ONLY used with what you haven't covered or become familiar with...

- █"different" ways to communicate or work like;

-staying more █#private█ but willing to work on stuff

#Capitalism and people generally doesn't want to pay or factor in the stress it causes others in the taking and not making #space for others (as you would yourself or you children).

It may come down to #population numbers also being a problem but the basics of #sharing space between people is very difficult matter. I can't even share some of the stuff I got for free on my computer let alone room with others / community (although I have I admit!)

I am a pioneer because I match as the definition of the words I use, so pioneer as a verb:

1. Open up an area or prepare a way
2. Take the lead or initiative in; participate in the development of
3. Open up and explore a new area

Noun: pioneer
1. Someone who helps to open up a new line of research, technology or art
2. One the first colonists or settlers in a new territory

(nobody likes a person that uses words incorrectly or as euphemisms and then says "Oh I didn't mean it like that" and gets offended for words they DELIBERATELY left ambiguous about in saying to 100's of people - it creates a whole thread of nothing sometimes or could be much better as community or pioneer....

Pioneers like Aral are synonymous for short text and for triggering people, but don't factor in answering other than in short (which also doesn't help as short is limited in understanding)
So when they say "oh wait buddy why so emotional about my ambiguity" and "chill it's only text and I can't spend time answering everyone" but then they can send a message every other minute- then you know their game is not well thought.

So the answer is frankly being better with words originally...

Just not the YouTube style of pictures to suck people in / get them talking / watching your live chats - this is underhand and eventually un-ethical to that extent!

Even I as a beginner in some things it feels like I'm as StarTrek - "light Years" ahead of my own time but less obvious then having a shiny TimeWarp or space ship for you to let yourself believe in first (probably it would help my "front shop" to be more shiny).
So not magic machine but myself and MindWarp of similar kinds to nudge the "Do you want to make friends with the world on this journey or not?"

People's own mistrust IS THE BASIC CAUSE for why we are not working more together over the net or not.
The worse case is claiming "strangers" without making effort to make friends (friends were strangers once or stranger = friends after getting to know them!)

Even if 100% were good here (everywhere or just your instance or some Federated tab... ) still you wouldn't know how to make friends / accept imperfections / to share with others and might claim the shadows are watching rather than fighting forward either to see if that's even the case or just guard up punching at things together to make some progress even expecting problems as building up resilience, experience, humanity, logic.... one big #FreeSchool

(pardon the F word at the end but #FreeSchool or #Friendship For the F-in Way!)

Reducing the scope of question may help you, but feel free to answer without these:

- distance is probably is big factor (for other people and the work itself, but maybe this is just an excuse as plenty to get on with and even better by distance!)
